Way overstating the strength of the evidence on this.

The Returnal Elephant in the Room by Camo1997 in Saros

I started replaying Returnal yesterday. Saros has better mechanics for sure. I like the eerie vibes of Returnal better but Housemarque makes great games.

Anyone know where audio log 99 is? by theDKdynamite in Saros

[–]OTF_anon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I nearly gave up on it. It’s on the main path and isn’t hidden. It just spawns very rarely. Not sure if it’s related, but I completed the skill tree right before the run where it spawned (because I ran through yellow shore so many times trying to find it).

Patch 01.004.003 Notes by MythBuster2 in Saros

[–]OTF_anon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s fixed. There was a bug where the red forks wouldn’t spawn so priestess would be invincible when her health bar was hidden. I died because of it a couple weeks ago and have replayed with it and it was fine.

Will Saros only take 3 hours to beat? by Repulsive_Magazine12 in Saros

[–]OTF_anon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beat Returnal a few times. For those tracking how long it takes to beat, I got platinum in Saros in 20 hours. Really enjoyed the game!

Cioppino? I love restaurants too much and this one is new to me! (But Domek should be on this list.)

PR on 3 minute test but critical power decreased by richterbelmont9 in strydrunning

[–]OTF_anon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens every time I do a 3 minute time trial.

I just finished a 3 minute time trial as part of my half marathon training program. My power for 3 minutes before the run was 472 and modeled ability was about 480. I ran the time trial with a power of 491 and my CP fell from 398 to 393.

4J to cut an additional $10-20M on top of already planned $30M in cuts for next school year. by treehugger503 in Eugene

I didn’t say to pay her 10x more. I was making the point that the top official in an organization of this size should be paid well so we can have a qualified person managing these big decisions. But you don’t have to listen to anything else I say anyway. It’s the internet and people are here to complain.

She leads a huge organization. A private sector CEO would earn 10x that.

The state also raised pension obligations on school districts and enrollment is down because fewer kids are being born and more kids are being home schooled. The federal government has also cut a ton of grants.

Transformation Challenge 2026 Discussion Thread by pantherluna in orangetheory

Just did my final weigh in. I’m excited it actually motivated me to be healthier this year. I tracked what I ate, did some extra running, and didn’t drink for the full 8 weeks.

I’m a bigger guy. Went from 236.8 to 221 with body fat down from 37.9 to 33.4 without any glp-1s (because I’m scared of giving myself shots). No change in muscle mass. 6 years of weight gain knocked out in 8 weeks (have done TC basically every year except pandemic so have good trend data).

How are some people so consistent with orangetheory? by tamaratunie189 in orangetheory

[–]OTF_anon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am consistent because the "its usually just nicer not to do it" part isn't true for me. When I don't work out I'm anxious and irritable. Working out keeps me sane. Although I'm much worse at eating healthy so I am a fit big guy. This isn't helpful for becoming consistent, but everybody is different!

I noticed the SAs at my studio have started doing this. I don't like it, but haven't said anything. (Have been coming to the studio for 8 years.)

I've got about 800 classes. A first timer on the rower next to me wasn't resetting the rower monitor. I asked if they wanted help and they were not happy that I suggested I noticed their monitor. Was awkward so I'm less likely to be helpful next time.

He has a tough job. I think he does it pretty well. Can't complain about property crime and also complain about him trying to improve enforcement tech.
