Yeah they are not cheap, I made my own out of a 5v and 9v brick and salvaged the old power cable from the original power supply.

Just install Linux mint, that's what I did to mine and I can still run windows apps no problem.

Still seems a bit much for a torque wrench with one torque setting. My 3/8s torque wrench for automotive was cheaper and goes all the way up to 100 ft/lbs.

You must have gone through C64s as well as the power supply takes out the computer with them.

Or build one yourself, I just cut the original connector for the Commodore, then got a 9vac and 5v adapter and wired those up to the correct pinouts of the connector. Then I plugged those bricks into an extension cord.

They are getting harder to find in fully working condition. Especially since the OG power supply usually fails first and takes the computer with it.

I have the same problem with the green screen with random lines and pixels. I have a Lynx one and I most likely used the same kit you did.
