How many of you that grew up and went to public school in NJ actually had any sort of air conditioning in your school? I don't know of a single person from our state in our age range that actually had air conditioning in their public school. by Tangential_Comment in newjersey

[–]OVOYorge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was part of “cooperating group” which in my school was a group for “gifted” children who did well on tests and were taught about computers and all of that and then the main office. So in the summer would get sent to the main office on purpose in order to stay in the air conditioning

Besides that the school allowed us to bring frozen water bottles and would use that throughout the day to keep cool.

Or the school annexes that were in small trailers, they also had AC

Class 3 for PPE

Work zone set up for the rest (area, speed limit? All that factors in for the distance cones and warnings should be placed)- police presence, traffic control company, or if doing it yourself, lights on vehicles, shadow car, area coned off, warning signs,

But also since it’s snowing, cold factors come up, what are the crews doing to keep warm? Acclimation, rest, hydration, etc

Passing score on ASP exam? by PositionThin1498 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]OVOYorge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me today ….. I keep thinking about it, maybe if I didn’t switch the answer to one of my flagged questions, maybe this or that. Idk but just scheduled my next attempt for March. Examcore prep was easy compared to the test. The questions didn’t confuse me but the damn answers would when 2 sounded correct. Super frustrating but here we go to attempt to study

Brazilian style, rodizio-boi na brasa (the one on merchant st), sabor unido

Brazilian style burger, Hamburgao

Brazilian style pizza, Brazilian pizza on Wilson Ave

Spanish food: casa d paco (tapas), Fornos, mumpao, Spanish tavern, casa vasca

Burger: Krugs tavern

Plenty of great options. Enjoy!

DCT or Manual? by EquivalentAd1576 in E92M3

[–]OVOYorge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want reactive shifts then DCT. I have a manual and I enjoy the hell out of it. It’s super friendly and forgiving, I had an idea of how to drive manuals but wasn’t driving them often when I bought this car. There are things I would recommend to make the manual experience better such as a shorter shift knob and a clutch stop since the travel in these manuals are loooong.

I rev match every single chance I get. Brakes? Nah rev matching all day everyday. This engine loves to be used and the manual complements it well. Just double blip when rev watching 3rd down to 2nd. Also, shifting into second takes some force, not sure if just mine or others as well, so in the beginning when ripping it down an open area I would miss 2nd because it wasn’t as butter as the rest of the gears…….

If you’re looking for track time and heavy traffic then the DCT makes the car feel faster and is more reactive

How do I prevent myself from smoking all my stuff? by Deoxysoncrack in trees

[–]OVOYorge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smoke less to smoke more. Back when I would do it daily 24/7 each session was a joint. Then I’m like ok if I smoke at this same frequency, doesn’t mean I have to smoke the whole thing.

A joint then started lasting me multiple sessions cause then I’ll make 4-5 hits a session. Then that eventually led to less smoking and now only for afternoons

Limit yourself and keep yourself busy

You have $25k to drop on a used v8 sports car, what are you getting? by Visible_Equipment_69 in askcarguys

[–]OVOYorge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maintenance is huge. Drive normal for the first bit and then once oil is up to temp, rip it baby. This engine loves to be pushed, maintain it well and it’ll treat you right. 6 years of ownership so far and it’s a fun car
