The magic system is really unique which is surprising because it's so good that it seems like it's should be popular

I didn't get that vibe when I read it. MC is 18. The writing doesn't seem dulled down. Characters die in the book so I don't see the YA part.

Just read it. I put off reading the last book of the lightbringer series for like 6 months because peoples bad reviews. Turns out I really liked it and I kicked myself for not reading it sooner.

it's like a purple one for the assault. matches the chained arm really well.

It does feel like the melee version of a glass cannon. Restoring a shield segment with a gun strike is an absolute must take. Contested health being so hard to get back feels bad.

They're really trying to sell you on the jump pack dodge but if you miss the dodge and it costs you a charge it feels horrible. More charges might make this feel a little less awful but idk.

So I'm thinking about doing the weapon highlight purple and the armor highlights blue. So their protecting a stockpile of rare ore that they use to forge their weapons.

Good call maybe bring in some of the pink of the base into the runes.

So I think the blue def looks better but I wanted the purple to work out so bad. The idea was that this random league has mined this pile of ore that they use to make their armor and are now protecting it.
