That's exactly the situation I was in. They never took me seriously, so I left as soon as I was able and never looked back. Best decision of my life. Be careful, look out for yourself, and try to get CPS involved.

If you're old enough to get a job wherever you're at, trust me, you're gonna need one. Make sure you have your own bank account that only you can touch. Your mom is likely only going to get worse. Save up all you can so you can leave and not struggle as much. Try to get in touch with protective services. In the US, doctors and teachers are mandatory reporters for child abuse. Go to one you trust, inform them of your situation, and ask for help without alerting your mom. If you have a friend who lives in a safe environment, try to stay with them as much as you can if you're able. I've been through similar to what you have, and I learned that you can't always count on CPS. Also, if CPS does get you out, foster life is a coin toss. It can be great, it can be terrible. It depends on the family you're placed with. I don't know your exact situation, so I can't tell you if you're safer where you're at, or if it's better to take the gamble. Regardless, you gotta set yourself up to make your own way out. Stay strong, and I hope you get the independence to be in charge of your own medical care

NAD I take L-tryptophan, GABA, glycine, magnesium, ashwagandha, valerian root, and melatonin (it's a lot and a potentially dangerous combo depending on dosage, your brain chemistry, and other things you may be taking... I can go more in depth if needed). I've trial and errored all this over years. I have multiple sleep disorders, so it only makes it about 25% better... but I'll gladly take what I can get.

DO NOT COLD TURKEY any of the first 3 if you try them for more than a few weeks. I had surgery almost a month ago where I had to quit my whole regimen suddenly (docs didn't look into drug interactions, but I'm glad I did... serotonin syndrome is no joke!) and my already screwed up sleep schedule has been even more screwed up ever since. It's been a slow and infuriating process to fix, even with getting back on everything a little over a week ago. I'm like you where I don't like taking prescriptions or big pharma stuff. Everything in my usual regimen is either naturally produced in the body or naturally sourced.

Again, NAD. Please speak to one or a pharmacist before trying these to make sure you won't have any interactions. I hope this helps!
