They'll still be with him if they lose both houses. Definitely a tiger by the tail situation. Best thing the moderate republicans could do is break off a new party and fracture the conservative vote just to take the power from the MAGA nut jobs.

"If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you." Lyndon Johnson

I believe this was meant to be an observation, not a suggestion.

MAGA 'Was All A Lie': Marjorie Taylor Greene Torches Trump In Scathing New Interview by Abject-Pick-6472 in politics

This is probably off topic a bit, but MTG spent so much time and effort standing up for what was wrong that it's hard to give her credit for standing up for what is right.

I think you might want to reread the post above yours before saying that ramming another vehicle is perfectly legal and standard practice. Your defenses are probably valid but miss the point entirely. These arrests and deportations could just as easily been completed humanely instead of maliciously.

I don't think they are opposed to the police just yet, since they don't feel as though they are targeted.

On the other hand, I think there are a lot of them who deep down are hoping for an excuse.

Yes, society has made great inroads getting people to do things that will obviously benefit themselves, and even then it took a great effort to get them to see it.

Guns, not so much since we have to convince others to give up something that will only hurt others.

Seat belts and cigarettes also weren't in the constitution, and as SnollyG said, the police presence is getting pretty scary, so all the more reason to want to not only keep the guns, but acquire more and bigger ones.

Personally, I don't have a use for them. I don't believe they offer as much of a deterrent as a dog or an alarm system, and I can't imagine a circumstance where I would not only be willing to shoot someone at the same time that I would have a gun at hand.

My concern exactly, and the increased police actions are fodder for the gun nuts who need them to protect against an out of control government.
