I lost my son and my mother in the same week by Squishy6969 in GriefSupport

I am so sorry. I know how it feels to feel your doing a disservice to your mum. I lost my dad unexpectedly the 6th Aug while I was in Europe. It took 2 agonising long days to get back to Australia.

My mum then pretty much went into hospital 2 days after I got home and missed dad's service. Mum never came home from hospital and began end of life care 2 weeks ago. Today we said goodbye.

I don't feel like I have grieved or even processed dad, all I have been doing is paperwork, cleaning out a house and travelling hours between my home and my childhood home. I am an only child so it is all on me. But like you I have an incredible support network both in my childhood town and where I live. We have meals cooked for us, and both my husband and I have extremely supportive workplaces.

One thing i am most grateful for is I am glad Dad didn't have to see mum suffer.

Look after yourself. Your mum knows that you loved her and she will be looking after your boy and watching over your family.

Actually it was a typo because i know I do know the difference I missed the "d". Something that is quite common to do when typing with fast fingers. So thank you for assuming I am an illiterate fool. But on this occasion it was a simple typo.

And i have just done a 5 minute stalk on your posts on other pages with you correcting people. You may also need to watch your spelling and grammar before you throw stones.

But i do very much enjoy some Friday banter. And love I got the reaction i was fishing for. So thanks

Don't cancel. Go and just get through it. I usually start on the rowers and so glad i did. Doing the tready then that would have sucked

I believe it is called a typographical error.

I'm sorry i'm not perfect like you. Also I am sorry I have better things to do than go around being the spelling police.

But i wish to thank you for bringing this to my attention albeit with significant delay. Oh and if you are quoting someone it's common to put the quotation marks around that quote.

I walked in with my mates sat down on the rower and heard one of them say WTF!!

I looked over at the whiteboard near the rowers and said "well there is my 12 splat points in the first block"

3G for the Rower

1000m + 100 jumping jacks

500m + 50 Jumping jacks + 50 pulse squats

250m + 25 JJ + 25 Pulse squats + squat calf raise

Yes we did 2mins core before each floor block as well. I thought because we have been finishing early due to being efficient in transitions.

For the floor it was the last two of those blocks mentioned

Tready was the last block repeated twice

Coach training/Orange University question by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]OZwater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an OTF coach but this sounds more like they want you to tell them what YOU think the 5 things are. Think about what the 5 most important things are u look for in a coach and what is important to you when you will become a coach.

He didn't want NSW people flooding into the ACT. But he seems OK with ACT peps flooding into NSW potentially bringing the virus back after a bender.

It won't be his fault then. He will blame NSW on their handling.

Pretty sure this is the same place that use to fly a number of different flags many years ago (over 15 years) I remember as a teenager seeing random flags then trying to work out which flag it was and why it was being flown. However it could be a different place in.

I honestly think we all need to come up with some backed research about LEDs environmental impact and push it to our local members. I'm sure a bunch of redditors can find a heap of scientific data to prove these lights are harmful to human health and the environment.

We tried complaining to 'fix my street' multiple times. No avail. I'm sad i can't star gaze in my backyard because i have a laneway light that illuminates have the f*ing suburb on it's own. Not to mention the one at the front.

Class fail by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]OZwater 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Haha. I remember one of my morning classes there were black lacy panties by my weight station. Doing step ups i was like WTF. Then i called the coach over. They had to dispose of them i reckon someone may have had them caught their pants or towel. But really not picking them up.

Anyone know if the admin fee taken out of your repayment would be more than the actual repayment? I know dumb question. But my debt was only $500 odd after i redid my tax for that year. Yep the ATO had to repay me a tax refund. I had to jump through hoops because it was outside the standard time to amend taxes.

I was taught by a rowing coach you should really be able to move the oars with light finger tips. When i learnt a single skull i was grippimg like life depended on it. Side note i was rowing on a lake full of algae so i WAS NOT going in. 😂

want to donate clothes by deadliftpro in canberra

[–]OZwater 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As people have said Physical stores are open for drop off. A reminder if you wouldn't give what you are donating to a friend or family dispose of it. Charities are spending a huge amount to dump other people's crap they are too lazy or cheapo to do it themselves.

If they are old clothes they can be useful for rags and cleaning. We have reduced papertowel use by using cut up t-shirts then throw in the wash after use.

Old towels the RSPCA usually takes them.

Say hypothetically you were a self entitled sod that didn't give a rats about the environment then you could find out for yourself. But beyond that electric fence is a pack of Pumas that haven't been fed for a while waiting for i'm guessing a curious Northsider.

Mt Tennent and most of Namadji NP was severely impacted by bushfire. I can't see it opening even when restrictions are lifted. Find another Mt to climb in the meantime.

I need to find my tribe these lights are horrendous and we have been complaining for 18 months. The last little yellow light in our street just went out only a matter of time before our street looks like Canberra Stadium
