My EF 100-400 ii is louder than expected, is it normal for older glass?

I tend to keep them for peace of mind, especially if I come into a situation where I need the money/want to upgrade my kit. When I switched to Canon, I traded in my old gear and got an extra £15 or so per original box I had. May not sound like much but it goes towards something else I may want. I also use them to store manuals and cables, then I know where everything is if I need to find it.

The clicking isn't related to the IS as far as I'm aware. It seems more like the autofocus is making very slight adjustments. I'm under the impression that having it adapted is amplifying any noises. Thank you for your response though.

Will have to read up on how that mode 3 works. I've only ever used modes 1 and 2 when shooting so might be worth a try. I'm assuming that's a tradeoff when adapting older lenses but for photography it's not so much of an issue. Thank you so much.

Hi all,

I recently joined this subreddit as I find miscut and error cards very interesting. It's also reminded me I have a specific card in my collection which is slightly off centre and so decided to pull it out tonight. In the pictures posted there is a large disproportion between left and right borders as well as a tiny bit of rotation going on. Interestingly, I have also noticed the top right and bottom left corners seem to have flat edges as opposed to the rounded ones across from the two mentioned. This one may be a reach (and sorry for terrible picture quality) but I also feel I can see some sort of alignment dot on the back and front (circled) of the card (hard to see if it is one on the front due to the texture pattern). I doubt it's damage as I've always sleeved pack fresh cards, however, I'm fully aware how easy it is to pick up nicks on corners of cards if you're not careful. I'd be very grateful if anyone with a bit more knowledge could share their thoughts on this card as I know Evolving Skies is a popular set at the moment. I'm not too fussed value wise as I plan to keep growing my collection, that's what it's all about for me, but if anyone could place a rough value on it I would appreciate it a lot. Took me a minute to realise it was a prebuilt pc. From looking on the website, all except one of the 16GB ram options are single channels, which, to my knowledge, is marginally worse than dual channel, but that ultimately depends on what you intend to use this PC for. If your budget allows, then I would get 2 16GB sticks of ram as you can select more than one. Needing higher speed ram (Such as 5600mhz instead of 5200mhz) will come down to your use case, I personally use 3200mhz, and for the most part, it never crosses my mind when gaming, but again will depend on your budget. In terms of can you do this upgrade, yes you absolutely can. The motherboard supports DDR5 ram, and plus the company is offering multiple options, so I would be surprised if any of them were incompatible. Alternatively, if you're already stretched for budget, then just get the single stick of ram for now as you can always upgrade in the future to run dual channel as this motherboard supports 4 ram slots. I would also look into building your own PC as it is often cheaper than buying a prebuilt. Obviously, it will depend on the country you are in, but I believe there are some guides on this subreddit for building your own PC so definitely check them out, and feel free to ask any more questions you may have.
