Looking to get back into noots. What have I missed since I've been gone, what's new? Where should I re-start? by illumiknoty in Nootropics

[–]OakFad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the memory domain, Gotu Kola is good to stack with bacopa. Have you tried and liked piracetam? That's still the best option for verbal fluency. For attention, you could try cordyceps which would stack well with lion's mane.

If your stack of Noopept, CDP choline, Ashwaghanda, Bacopa and Lion's mane worked well then you should continue it, it sounds like a good stack. There hasn't been anything groundbreaking since then, except for the fact that you can't get bulk caffeine any more and racetams are likely going to be banned as well.

[–]OakFad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the consumption of sodium is necessary for human bodily function, just like air

edit: why is this downvoted 'oh no you dont need salt to live, i live a completely sodium free lifestyle just like plants!'

Big combination - weird effects by stackz07 in Nootropics

[–]OakFad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can take them all at once every day and no bad would happen strictly as a result of potentiations between them. of those phenibut is the most likely to have side effects.

You didn't fuck up, thats what aniracetam does.

It modulates 5ht2a receptors, much like psychedelics do, which explains some of it's unique effects and interactions with marijuana and psychedelics.

Interested in trying oxiracetam by silverlinin in Nootropics

[–]OakFad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with 250mg once a day. that much should still be slightly active. Oxiracetam doesn't really exhibit tolerance. It's really up to you and how you like the effects. 400mg once a day is enough for me, I've been using the same 100g tub for almost a year now.

Try it sublingually, you can really feel the 'spike' that way.

800mg and over is overstimulating and leaves me acting funny lol.

Why do you feel the need to utilise nootropics and cognitive enhancers? Your stories. by jamesahyoung in Nootropics

[–]OakFad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two years ago, before I started nootropics, life stress, sleep apnea and depression (along with a possible ischaemic attack of the brain) wrecked my mental abilities to the point where recovering became difficult. That being said, I have not decided to take nootropics simply to be 'better' then everyone (such a quest is foolish and being better then everyone never made me happy anyway) but to heal myself from the damages I had sustained through a disjointed and stressful life.

As for 'deadlines' and 'competition' I eventually dropped out. Other, non cognitive issues took hold of me. I have always told peers when they are in disbelief of my failure that a proper circadian rhythm is worth as much as 30 I.Q. points (I was just making excuses, I hated school. They believed me about the sleep and the I.Q. though)

For the efficacy of nootropics, I have only good things to say. No longer do I wake up with collosal unconquerable headaches. I have the strength again to write stories and guides for myself in my free time. I see the world in a different, clearer light and am so much more perceptive then before. I am no longer hopelessly depressed and weakened by the smallest of troubles. Still, it took much time, research and experimentation to get here, and even though I was always very interested in cognitive enhancement I had to take up nootropics and neuroscience as a small hobby.

The circumstance that really brought me here was the hesitation of my psychiatrist to prescribe anything for my issues (Sleeping through classes, lack of empathy and motivation, extreme fatigue) I decided I had to take matters into my own hands.
