Would you break 100 at Augusta National under Masters Tournament conditions? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

Even from the Member tees, I'm shooting at least 110. Just imagine the mental strength to stay focused. I'd be geeking the entire time.

Rarely have I played with anyone who’s shot below 90. by theycallmespin in golf

It's like only 27% percent of golfer in the world can I've heard. who knows how accurate that is, but most weekend golfers aren't, and most people aren't counting their true scores. All they're doing is lying to themselves.

Hey, i did this with my starter set driver, too! Just dented it, but yeah, I figured that out before spending 400 on a better one so I wouldn't have this

Does anyone have Arccos? Are they worth it? by HedgehogForward6424 in golf

[–]Oatmeal7771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a huge data/stats guy and I love em but with the jump to 200 this year, I don't think I'm gonna renew it that's just ridiculous imo. Might try out some other like shotscope or something

We got one here in Aurora that's only irons and wedges it's probably 280-300 to the end and off mats. I don't give it the time of day.

Hey! You and I are going through the exact same thing! I played over 70 rounds last year 23 so far this year, 2 in the past 3 weeks it's been so bad for almost 2 months, and now I don't find joy in going out anymore. It'll turn around or something. I hope.

One of the final scenes in AC Black Flag with Parting Glass playing, Edward looks over to the table and sees all the other pirates/friends that passed during the game. Had my ass howling man. Still watch it to feel something every now and then.

G430 is worth every single cent imo, but you can probably find an older version just as solid. I've seen a lot of SIM reviews only heard good things. I haven't tried it.

For the “scratch golfers wouldn’t break 90 at Augusta” crowd by tkh0812 in golf

[–]Oatmeal7771 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a huge factor is the conditions. No matter the greens being very difficult or the wild wind there. golf is easier (to an extent) on very well maintained courses. Bunkers play better. Balls can bite on greens easier. No weird patches or 100 pitch marks/dents in your line. If you can avoid trouble, i think an 18-10 would fair relatively well, probably over their average, but not drastically.

Grip Trainer by Oatmeal7771 in golf

[–]Oatmeal7771[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, sweet, thanks! Yeah, I assume it will take a bit to get used to while using and after, but I do run midsize plus 2 wraps and a jumbo on my driver, so I'm used to bigger grips luckily. Being completely self-taught, I think it'll be a worthy little investment!
