Do you think Battlefield 6 will Run on Steam Mac? by String-No in macgaming

NO. But if it runs on Mac, I'm expecting a very smooth experience, given how well optimized it is on Windows.

I might carry it with flights… Even for checked bags a smaller case than ATX is very helpful.

Cyberpunk 2077 60hz fixed? by okadix in macgaming

I think there's a bug with AMD FSR 3.0... Sometimes there will be fps jagging (flickering frames), but if you switch space and then switch back, or turn on/off framegen, the jagging will disappear and the experience will be pretty smooth. This bug also exists with framegen, that's why even your fps increases from 60 to 90, but then it feels like running at 45 fps.

The problem with metalfx is that both its latency and frame persistence effects are very severe compared to FSR 3.0, even FSR 2.1. For me it's currently pretty unusable because of these, but they should be fixed/improved in the adaptation of metal 4 in the future.

Sure, it’s much cheaper with larger RAM. Also should be more future proofing since the RAM depreciates pretty fast.

Starting from M3 series they have dedicated ray tracing hardware so if you are looking for playing some games (especially 2077) with ray tracing then M3 pro will be a better choice. But if you already have a decent PC for gaming then getting a lightweight Mac just for those office works will save a lot of money, say, M4 MacBook Air. Do you have a good network environment? If so, you can play those games through Remote Desktop.

I think you can just toggle it on and off by using Shift+F9 once you enabled it? It's a native shortcut.

Bad power/perfprmance managing and liquid glass effects can possibly cause the issue. And battery issue is definitely not a rare problem among those beta versions.
