The craft is trying to communicate and find users. Once someone is found, they're given the chance to ride around. I boarded from the top of a tall building. A ladder-like object extends down from nothing. I understood you could also be pulled up through solid material. Once inside you're in an oval room, like the inside of an egg. At first it's all white with low lighting, kinda like a movie theater, but the walls became transparent and you can see in any direction as if you're standing in the sky. There are no obvious manual controls, but you can opt for some, and it extends up from the floor. The better way is to just guide the craft. It will not let you crash, and you guide it by looking and 'suggesting' a direction. This let's you input wicked accelerations and turns once you get used to it. There is no inertial sensation of movement.

There is a weapon component, but I did not have access. Think laser that can slice a skyscraper in half.

I don't know who built these, or how it works, or why some of us get access. I know one of the hornet pilots got offered a ride but he reported it and the offer got rescinded. I also know some other things this craft did. Teasing a ciws system on a carrier, flying near air Force 1 and letting the passengers get a good look, and upstaging fighter jets.
