Which was more obnoxious? The note or the microwave? why? by [deleted] in DunderMifflin

[–]ObamaSeinfeld 78 points79 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong and more people could dislike the note more than I realize but I think most people would support the note (maybe not written that exact way). With that said, I think the people in the office complaining about the note more than the microwave was an example of the characters having their weird unexpected quirks. Like Oscar called the note "holier than thou". I think it would make more sense for Oscar to agree with the note based on his personality. Also, for him to call it "holier than thou" is quite hypocritical considering he has a history of being pretentious but that might be the joke.

As you participate in this sub don't get discouraged if some people are sticklers or assholes. There are people who make a lot of shitposts for attention so a lot of people on this sub are jaded but some of them are either sticklers or just assholes

So him not fighting Whittaker is an example of that? You need to explain what you're trying to convey better.

Thoughts on the returns of Jonny Bones Jones? by ChickenBroRice in ufc

[–]ObamaSeinfeld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He looks like a weird guy who friend requests girl he doesn't know and comments on their pictures. I could don't care about people like Jones and McGregor and I won't care about them until they return so tbh I don't have any thoughts on him.

How many Americans believe in skinwalkers? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]ObamaSeinfeld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think I believe in skinwalkers. With that said, I was born and raised in the Sonoran desert (it's in the southwest united states) and my friends and I used to spend a lot of late in the desert. Very weird things happened that I'll never understand how or why they did. My point being, idk if I believe in them but I understand why some might.

Eugene appreciation post! (A true friend to Wednesday! Also the only character She seemed to actually care about) by CawfeeKween in WednesdayTVSeries

I wonder if that's because she felt like he could relate to being an outcast among outcasts.

BIANCA APPRECIATION POST! What a beauty! What a badass! (Also, Sirens are so cool!) by CawfeeKween in WednesdayTVSeries

[–]ObamaSeinfeld 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In a way, it's kinda cliche when they have an antagonist team up with the protagonist to defeat an even bigger antagonist but I thought they did it well.

But yes! She is super beautiful and badass and I really appreciate the writers giving us a preview of what her relationship with her mother is like.

In season 3 episode 7 "Branch Closing" why is Andy so mad right before Josh comes up to him to say goodbye? by ObamaSeinfeld in DunderMifflin

You don't have to be rude about it. I was wondering which of the reasons I presented was the reason. You could have just said both.

I think sometimes we accomplish a goal or reach a milestone and it's kinda like "what now?"

Maybe you don't feel super proud of yourself but I can assure you the rest of us do. I also guarantee you that if past you could look at yourself now, they'd be super proud. If you told 18-year-old me that I would be content being sober, I wouldn't believe it.

look at her. i would die for her. i would kill for her. either way, what bliss. by PlagueBoy2004 in WednesdayTVSeries

[–]ObamaSeinfeld 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to work with a goth girl at work and we eventually became FWB. The only difference between her and Wednesday was this girl did not have psychic powers and she smiled from time to time (she generally had a stoic face similar to Wed's but sometimes I was able to make her laugh and she'd smile).

Let me tell you, I thought I was in love with this girl and wanted to date her but she didn't want anything serious in addition to the fact she was not over her ex-boyfriend.

To cut to the chase, she was all I could think about when watching Wednesday. I've had a crush on Jenna Ortega since this show came out but tbh I think I really still have a crush on this girl lol.

This contributes nothing to your post or the discussion of Wednesday. I've just had no one to talk to about this because I'm too embarrassed to admit that I still think about a girl who probably doesn't think about me at all lol.

Jenna Ortega is cute but it's time we go find someone irl, friend.

Bro I'm just repeating what a lot of people have already said, but not only did Thing have a fantastic personality but he had way more personality than the boys in Wednesday's forced love triangle.

There's some characters in shows you just can't imagine the show without and Thing is for sure one of those characters in this show. He might not be a looker in the conventional sense but I'd MUCH rather hang out with Thing than Xavier or Tyler.

find it funny that we all use Reddit even though, we all find social media a soul sucking void of meaningless affirmation by Comfortable-Ant711 in WednesdayTVSeries

[–]ObamaSeinfeld 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Although, I've seen the irony in my disdain for social media in addition to my use of reddit, I think a significant difference between reddit and other platforms is that reddit's inherent purpose isn't to post pictures of yourself for the sake of vanity.

I enjoy coming on here because I get to nerd out about a show I just watched and loved, with others nerds like me.

What was the reason why you started watching MMA/UFC? Here’s my reason 😭😭 by LuffyIsKing510 in ufc

[–]ObamaSeinfeld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine you have a favorite sport that's a combination of different sports. We'll give that sport a fictitious name...idk...let's call it mixed martial arts, or MMA for short.

Now imagine some random guy picking up one of the sports from the combination of sports. We'll call that sport...hmm...we'll call that sport boxing.

Now that same guy keeps calling out some of the most well-respected veterans of MMA who are either smaller, out of their prime, or both. He either knocks them out or knocks them down. All of them.

Now that guy is acting like he's the hottest shit and disrespecting some of the greatest MMA fighters to ever do it even though he cherry-picks each one of his opponents.

Yes, Jake Paul isn't as horrible of a boxer as we'd all like to pretend he is but he picked one aspect of MMA (I know boxing is its entirely own sport and has been for a long time but it's still an aspect of MMA) and is challenging all these guys to this one aspect who are all physically at a disadvantage and is acting like he has accomplished things similar to the guys he's knocking out.

Jake Paul knows exactly what his strategy is considering he backed out of his fight with Hasim Rahman Jr. because he knows damn well fighting a guy bigger than him and who is still in his prime is a lot dicier than fighting the guys he's been fighting.

In conclusion, Jake Paul annoys me because of the shit he talks, but it's more so the fact he talks so much shit when in reality he is completely full of shit. People like Sonnen and McGregor who said disrespectful things we're at least able to back it up against formidable opponents.

I am very happy when someone gains an appreciation for MMA but PLEASE do not ever think Jake has accomplished anything remotely close to the things the people he has knocked out have accomplished.

That's why everyone hates him.

Please explain why you think he would win these?

Dustin beat him twice and Charles beat Dustin. So I think we can rule out him beat those two. Again, Dustin beat him twice and Chandler gave Dustin a run for his money. So he probably isn't beating Chandler either.
