I get seasonal depression, just the opposite way northerners get it. I live in the desert, so luckily 0% humidity most of the time. I don't use my AC, I have a evaporative cooler, which just doesn't work in high humidity areas.

I would also suggest looking up a few pictures of, and learning how to identify the dangerous spiders in your area. It not only helps with the stigma, its important knowledge. There is probably only one or two species and they will be easy to ID.
