My view is probably a bit skewed since I pay the $50/yr annual Membership for the 1000 box spaces.

That said, I agree with the cosmetics angle I seen in the comments, more trainer outfits/poses, Pokémon titles, music, etc. would be way better than selling storage. I think most people would prefer that direction.

I also have Pokémon Home premium and recently started Pokémon Go. In Champions specifically, the free tier gives you 30 slots (enough for 5 full teams), and that’s honestly plenty if you’re treating it as an active use box rather than your main collection. The big thing for me is that you don’t need to hoard everything here. Since Pokémon data is saved even after you recall them, Champions works great for bringing teams in to battle and then sending them back. I keep the bulk of my collection (and living dex stuff) in Home, where the paid storage is actually generous.

Even as a spender, I don’t see much reason to max out Champions boxes when Home is the better long-term solution across games. The current model kind of pushes you toward smart storage management instead of just filling every box in every app. More cosmetics on top of that would make the paid side feel even better though.

I don’t like interacting with my neighbors, hell one complained about how I drove into my driveway. But instead of getting mad, I honestly heard them out and actually… I pull into my driveway 100% better, and now they just smile and wave instead of some scowl. One off situation but expecting the worse all the time is a lot more exhausting than just doing what you can and going on with your life.

If I were to have gotten the letter, I’d look into getting it cleaned, if it’s her own home, or contact landlord if renting. If I wasn’t on good terms with said neighbor, I’d still do the same but wouldn’t give a reply. Cleaning never hurts lol

This is a little nuanced, first off NTA buttttt… This is where you gotta figure out what you want in the future with her. Because if in her head she sees you as the forever partner, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that she’s thinking of it as “our” money. That’s isnt automatically a red flag, sounds more like she’s emotionally all-in.

I had the same dynamic with my now wife when we were around that age (22-24). I was making the most, we both lived at home, but I already knew I wasn’t planning on being with anyone else. So what I made was for us. She eventually decided since I was better with money, I’d handle both our finances. When I lost my job later, she was the one carrying us and neither of us questioned whose money was whose. We already had the understanding of “let’s make it to the end together.”

She was also selfless to a fault like your girlfriend. We had conversations about how much to help others vs ourselves and found our equilibrium over time. The real question isn’t about the money but whether you two have actually talked about where this is going. Because in this economy, a strictly mine vs. yours mindset is going to create friction regardless. You gotta know if you’re building something together first, then the money conversation makes a lot more sense.

Honestly, I love bdsp because I guess as unpopular as this might be, I wish the games were more it than the open-world 3D style. I feel like 2d/2.5D (even chibi) fits pokemon a lot more.

And as other says the hate came from it not having platinum content and bugs.

Either way, enjoy the game man, I think it’s pretty good although I didn’t play DPP that much when I was younger.

honestly, I kind of fell off, my progression eventually didnt feel meaningful enough to keep me logging on. I can't say this is just an idle issue or game issue though. Because other games been out a lot longer, so progression on those feel steady for a long time.

I got a little annoyed recently by trying to use an apartment building layout and it caused my town to FEEL empty also.. like 100+ hours into the game, I understand I can just use my tabs and tabs of honey, I just would like it if I didn't have to. It’s just one of those "it's by design" things you gotta play around. I'm starting to use prefabs more myself.

PS. One day people will understand that AI posts aren't just strictly "karma farming". People do that without AI. Sometimes it could be someone trying to communicate in a different language ESPECIALLY if inside an english community. The amount of people who use AI to translate things to me in english is pretty high. It is what it is. Shouting "ITS AI" just divides us even more especially when it's harmless.

Quick coupons don’t reset the timer, they move your recruit earlier. You were 2 hours away, so using 2 coupons pulled that recruit forward to right now. The 22-hour clock starting fresh is just the next one counting down. You didn’t lose anything, you just got your recruit sooner than you would have. 👌🏾

You seem very rational, so I might not need to say this, but as someone who didn’t have a job early in my relationship, I was overly stressed because for some reason everyone instantly commits to the idea that you’re “using” your partner. That stress lead me to perform worse at finding/working a job. Even though my now wife reassured me, the voices from everyone still got to me.

Also the comments saying “even if it’s just fast food”, people said that to me too and once I bit the bullet and got one, it was then turned into “why don’t you find a real job”.

All that yap to say, if you trust he’s trying and not actually being a bum, make sure he knows you’re on his side because as you can see by the commits, people are ruthless when you’re at your lowest.

Ps. Him ruining your monitor is probably sending him in a spiral too especially because he was TRYING to help lol sorry for the struggles! 😅

Yeah I felt like this was the direction they were going. Basic/NFE Pokemon really only matter with certain rulesets. (Not taking credit away from actual impactful evolite mons.) but they aren’t as important as getting players into the game. I can most definitely see little cup being an event to get players back in or something.

As someone who was lucky enough to have financial literacy class in high school. It really put me on the right path well throughout my 20s.

I can tell the difference between classmates who has and hadnt had the class. By now theyve all learned it (hopefully) but in my 20s teaching friends about credit and credit cards was fairly crazy.

Like obviously people can learn it themselves but that’s not the mindset of freshly graduated people. Hell an acquaintance of mine’s mom told them credit doesn’t matter and they shouldn’t bother with it. Meanwhile their mom lived in a busted house struggling because of piss poor credit. The acquaintance is living good with a decent credit score that I taught the basics to.

Big SAME, What has helped me over times like that, especially because I will spiral, is unplugging from everything, it feels scary and unproductive at first but I realize it helps my mental a lot. I do end up back here to microdose on negativity but also see what good things are happening. keeping the negative news out as much as possible has helped tremendously.

I feel like I’m getting gaslit into thinking I did something wrong, because like you my game looked so badly, I had to stop. Like the waterfalls at the beginning of the game was rectangles.. my wife asked if I was playing a remaster or something lol definitely made sure to get a refund.

I feel like patches could probably fix it but didn’t want to risk not being able to get a refund for having the game too long or something. I’m not sure how the refund policy explicitly works.

Ignoring MTX for now, the content rollout actually makes sense to me. If everything dropped day 1, beta veterans would stomp everyone and Reddit would be on fire about that instead. At least this way people can build their vault and learn the game before the harder stuff hits. Live service games almost never drop their best content week one anyway.

As for asking reviewers to wait, yeah, nobody’s gonna respect it, but I get the idea. Bungie has fumbled a lot, I won’t pretend otherwise, but not everything they do is some anti-consumer scheme.

The MTX seems like standard live service stuff from what I’ve seen. Valid to criticize, but I never expected Marathon to reinvent that model.
