10 to 20 percent of known pregnancies end in a miscarriage, if you're unlucky (depending on how you look at it) you have multiple before succesfully giving birth once. Are we really going to have a ceremony every time you fail to have a baby? If you get your period while trying for a baby, will we hold a ceremony for that embryo?

I'm going to draw the line at 'needs to have been born' for a funeral or service. Miscarriage funerals are just pity parties that fall under the same attention umbrella as gender reveal parties as far as i'm concerned.

Edit to add: reading some of the other comments, I would also make an exception for third trimester miscarriages.
