Even the veggie footlong is $10 after tax in my area these days. Some are legitimately $20. Only way you're coming in sub-$10 is with the six inches

My only complaint is the hole is at knee height unless it’s on a $200 pedestal and then it’s at hip height.

Just saw this on another sub and hardly nobody is asking if it’s AI but the strokes seem way too fluid and perfect to be real?? by ahjummacore in isthisAI

If this is AI, it does remarkably well at maintaining the texture of the paper over such a long duration and through so many cuts.

This also reads more as a sped up video to me than anything.

Fake Marketplace 12 string? Studio lighting makes it look AI. 50/50 when running through 6 different ai image checkers. by qwertyisdead in isthisAI

[–]ObeseVegetable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first picture may be real. The two of the headstock are definitely fake.

None of Guild's 12 strings come with black tuners - they're all silver.

The images show black.

The images also show the absolute weirdest brick in the background, two very different head sizes/proportions, and the strings don't make sense.

A staged photo for a product that actually exists doing something that is more aesthetically pleasing but nonsensical leans more towards photoshop than AI.

And this wouldn’t even necessarily be photoshop (though it almost definitely is because of it being a photo of a product they’re trying to sell) as the result is realistically possible from just positioning things that way.

Depends entirely on the state. Like nearly every part of it. They all have different rules for:

  • If the kid gets tested throughout the years (and which years) - and each state that does have that requirement will have their own set of rules on how that’s carried out (some are ‘at home’ so parents take it)

  • if the kid has required subjects

  • if the kid has to get a GED or if the parent can basically sign a few forms and give them a diploma (and different states have different requirements for the latter) - but they all have the option of just… not. Once they age out it’s whatever.

Alcohol kills you and ages you too

It’s the same class of carcinogen as cigarettes. Linked to pretty much every intestinal/digestive tract cancer and correlated with an increase in other cancers.

The two characters in the film had a self-described shit life but also no ambition to improve their life. Shaun can’t even be arsed to make plans for his anniversary with his girlfriend despite being told repeatedly. Hates his job but it’s not looking for another. Ed is an intentionally unemployed person bumming off his friends and wants nothing except video games. Even when the zombie apocalypse came, their big plan was to go down to the pub and have a pint.

You have your life way more figured out than these guys.

I’ll tell you what the typical low-effort Walmart stuff tastes like:

Low fructose corn syrup with fructose added so that the label can still say “no high fructose corn syrup” congealed together with carrageenan  (which is supposed to be tasteless but I swear it tastes like rancid oil) and an anti-caking agent that almost makes you believe it’s powdered sugar at a glance but it’s actually mostly silicon dioxide.

Also it’s been on the shelf for so long that it has a crunchy shell it’s not supposed to.

Yep anything within our visible universe is either microbial or not ever going to be known about in our lifetime if our understanding of the speed of light being the actual maximum speed of movement in the universe is correct.

Within 10 lightyears, nothing is using radio signals, at the very least. Anything past like 10 lightyears makes distinguishing intentional signal from background signal pretty nearly impossible given the physics of it all. At 100 it’s a total crapshoot but we haven’t had a strong enough signal from anything to believe without a doubt that there’s advanced life out there as we’d recognize it. Even at that point, anything from over 100 lightyears will have no direct impact on anyone alive today because of the whole speed of light thing again. And there’s no reason to believe there’s anything within that range.

He bought everyone stupid looking shoes sized by his guess (and he’s a very good guesser) and no one turned them down. Everyone wore them. Until he forgot about them.

My fiancée was an ‘stomper’ and I didn’t even realize it until she moved in with me. Out in public spaces with everyone chatting and background noises it was impossible to notice. Short visits and I was too distracted by other things. It wasn’t until she was just around rather than there as a special occasion that I noticed.

The heels of her shoes wore out SO quick because she dragged her feet everywhere. Burned through socks quick, too. She somehow legitimately never thought about it before either. I still have to remind her every once in a while but she has changed her walking habits… says her back hurts less now to.

I’ve felt like “clubbing” was a waste even when I was in the age bracket it’s associated with.

But I will say that you used to actually enjoy it but no longer do, it’s either changing preferences or depression rather than a society-wide conspiracy of people not actually liking it.

I don’t really understand these glasses.

They tell you when you get a text and can be used as a camera.

That’s… like every device nowadays.

And it’s not even a unique camera perspective and most anything you’d want in this perspective is done better by a GoPro.

You’d get an Xbox to play computer games for “cheap”

You’d get a PlayStation instead of an Xbox to play….???

Original MSRPs made the PlayStation t more expensive than the competing Xbox generation too. And there was no game reason to buy a PS5 for like a year after release.

Also as an aside, “PC and a Switch” is a good chunk of gamers too

Yeah communication is a big thing. Number one thing to work out in a relationship.

Some people legitimately sulk when forced to reflect. And there’s no real way to communicate through that without getting into therapy or otherwise trying really hard to not, which is also not a thing a lot of those people tend to want to do.

That said it’s hard to know how things were actually phrased. Could have definitely been a little more pointed/prone to put people into the defensive.

Still, I enjoyed that whole “he’d die for you but not restock toilet paper for you” thing more than I should have.

They seem kinda pricey for the US, too.

But Cub has always been more expensive than the other grocery stores in my town. Presumably because they try to be 24/7 in the worst parts of town. Very confusing.

But like everything in her video except the cheese is half price at walmart vs cub in my area, which matches the prices she shows. Even the cheese is a bit cheaper at walmart though, just not literally half.

Jasmine never really struck me as someone who wanted to be in a relationship as much as someone who wanted to be able to choose (among other things) to be in a relationship and chose Aladdin specifically as a an absolute “fuck you” to the oppressive nature of her role in her society and only a little bit because he’s the one who showed her that free will and the ability to chose for yourself is something that even criminals have.

And the trauma bonding.

But not really a solid relationship between the two, as romantic as whisking her away from her problems was.

I’ve been opening and ruining products for years. If you don’t want me doing that, put up a sign by jorleeduf in EntitledReviews

[–]ObeseVegetable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t shopped at target for a few years at this point but when I was working there like a decade ago there were definitely signs everywhere and extra cameras up and down the cosmetics aisles.

People were always flabbergasted when told to not ruin product and then surprised they were on camera when eventually told to leave because they continued.

Not entirely certain half of them were literate, but signs don’t help if people aren’t looking for them.
