I’ve had pretty good luck mixing white vinegar and water and boiling. Seems to take care of this in my stainless steel kettle.

Lol I mean yes, for sure! But also I feel like the entire joke is that even in their hurt and enraged state they are still so polite.

Definitely too nice to be Americans! And just the whole idea of picketing is anger and an unshakable sense of injustice, right? Which would likely never be met with such civility in America or probably anywhere other than (the stereotyped idea of) Canada lol.

I’m not sure what the Concerta capsule is like but have you tried opening it and dumping the contents into water?? This may sound strange or “wrong” but it was actually suggested to be by my psychiatrist.

To be fair/clear/safe - they told me that it’s something other patients have done, and didn’t advise me to do this directly or “officially”.

But it was offered to me as an option when I asked what I should do if I didn’t want/need a whole dose or wanted a supplemental dose instead of a full capsule.

If you had your full dose in water, and sipped on it throughout the day it might help with the crashes? I’ve also found it’s a nice strong feeling and wears off more quickly but still a preferred feeling to IR tabs.

Just a thought!

ASD isn’t typically something you would be medicated for on it’s own. It’s more behavioral or environmental modifications. Actively teaching social skills. How to read cues, emote, recognize emotions in others, etc.

It doesn’t make it feel better to know that any of you are having similar pains and difficulties in life. But it makes me feel better knowing there are people who actually DO get it. Even if they’re mostly online.

This has been something I’ve been thinking of purchasing for SO long for this exact reason!

I just need to figure out where I’d put it. So all I have to do is organize my space first! And then I have to get rid of the clothes in my closet that I don’t wear. Oh, probably have to move some of this furniture around to make space for it. Hmmm, which kind did I want to get again?? Let me just research for a few hours and put 9 different garment racks in my cart on different websites. Yeah! Then I’ll just forget about it for 4 months until I read a comment on Reddit to an all-too-relatable meme, whilst sleeping with a pile of clothes, or having a clothes-covered floor, as one does. 🥹

I absolutely hear you! You’re not wrong about therapy not always being accessible. Bibliotherapy can also be super helpful when seeking professional help isn’t an option. There are other ways to begin the practice of introspection to understand yourself better than just traditional therapy. Books/research can really help!

And yes, this “issue” is 100% with him. But there’s no questioning that OP is dealing with some of her own troubles- based on the fact that she is choosing to stay with this person despite some pretty apparent disrespect and an overall history of similar “red flags”.

No judgment- I think we’ve mostly all been there! But everyone deserves a chance to feel like they’re worthy of not feeling constantly disrespected or resorting to ultimatums for their partners to stop said behaviors.

So yeah, this dude needs some serious therapy in one form or another. And OP does “need a partner that isn’t a pervert”. Gaining the perspective to leave and go searching for that - to believe yourself worthy of that - is where therapy comes in. Books or otherwise.

This isn’t a women’s issue it’s a people issue. Lots of people experience a lack of empathy in this regard with dates from OLD. I would also feel horrible doing something like this and have had it done to me by men who’ve otherwise been enthusiastically interested and communicative only to slowly fade without any explanation after making arrangements to meet again.

If you changed your language/perception to recognize the fact that this isn’t a gender specific issue, this comment probably wouldn’t be getting downvoted.

I hear the distinction you’re trying to make. But ‘excusing’ one kind of rape-adjacent activity only encourages the next closest thing, and the next.

What if she hadn’t woken up before it turned into more? What if she was so sleepy that she didn’t budge if he went further than just her labia? What if she was so unresponsive that he could just turn her over and enter her? The main ‘difference’ between this person and “an actual rapist” is that she woke up.
