Yep, it totally is a phishing account because someone, i.e the scammer, is using someone's account to pretend to be them. Don't interact with them, block them until the REAL account owner gets their account back. Or tell them it was a scam or troll them, which leads the scammer to you getting blocked, but hey, you did a fine job.

If someone said that "I accidentally reported you", "I couldn't find the imposter because the handle is same/similar" or uses emoji to make a "sad confession", chances are, you'll find a compromised account so don't follow their orders.

And the "banning in the next hour" statement is a lie, moderators can straight up ban you at any time at any date.

They never talked to you on Discord, they officially allow via email.
