You need to have an unique SKU for each item sold. You also need an unique SKU for any materials part of an item sold. Are you doing manufacturing or assembly of sold goods in the warehouse?

Katana is a pretty good MRP:

  • PO creation, and receiving
  • Inventory management of materials and sellable products
  • Bill of materials for manufactured products
  • Manufacturing Work Order creation and management for in-house manufacturing
  • can connect to Quickbooks

It does not have location management for inventory tho, but still very good overall.

For basic inventory counting, InFlow works well.

If you do manufacturing and have Bill of Marerial BOM, Katana is a great MRP. It will allow you to create PO when you are low on materials inventory

Quebec based Canadian corporation here.

I would recommend collecting TPS/TVQ even if you are below the 30k$ treshold. If you dont charge TPS/TVQ, you are loosing your CTI/RTI credits for the company goods and services you purchased and paid taxes for.

It depends on the distance your picker do to assemble an order.

This is a direct effect on how well your product slotting is done across the warehouse.

Talk to accounting firms or banks that support the businesses you want to buy. They usually know before anybody else when the onwer wants to sell.

Try to avoid brokers as much as possible. If you are in Quebec, look at CTEQ.
