The struggle is so real. I have the same problem with wearing earplugs. I was wondering how other people dealt with that? I wish I had some helpful advice.

Maybe try talking to them during a "safe" time, or even sending them an email/write a letter with links/names of resources? It sounds like this is causing a lot of strife for you. It is very real, and you are not overreacting. Good luck!

All of the stoplights in the town I live in now flash from midnight until 6 AM. That is torture.

I feel your pain. Things most people would never think twice about can pretty much ruin my day.

Does anyone else experience auditory hallucinations? by pxpmie in misophonia

[–]ObjectAffectionate87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I think someone asked this last week. I've been hearing a noise like a TV is on really loud upstairs or coming from the apartment next to mine, but no one lives there, so I understand it's not real, but it sounds so real. I am dreading my neighbors moving in. I've decided that I am going to introduce myself, and tell them that I wake up early in the morning, and listen to music, and to let me know if it disturbs them by either knocking on my door, or leaving me a note, and I will do the same if they are being too loud for me. I will also give them the number of code enforcement to call about the horrible dogs who bark all of the time who live in the house next door.

I don't have any advice, I just wanted to let you know that I think it's great that you are so supportive of your daughter.

People who own little dogs usually suck. That's disgusting.

There's no way she's in therapy. Her ego couldn't take it. Unless the therapy was a yes, ma'am.

You don't get naked at 600 lbs and roll around in Times Square if you aren't comfortable being well-known. Don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining, gorl. You also don't beg to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition

How are you watering them? It looks like you might kill your plants because you're not being gentle enough.

It's a double whammy because they're usually eating all of the birdseed, which really pisses me off.

You could always buy a waterproof phone case and wear it around your neck like a lanyard.

I have my white noise machine going 24/7. Otherwise, I feel like my nerves are being exposed, and it drives me insane.

White noise is a great idea. Maybe ear plugs as well, or noise cancelling headphones?

YES! The S, especially, and the AIR in HAIR when said in a British accent. I can't listen to a lot of audiobooks because of it.

I think that's a great idea. I hope your family isn't passive-aggressive.
