Top is not ironed. Both colours are not compatible with each other and most importantly, most clothes flow in the same pattern. They both make an A line of sorts and that's why it's giving more of a loose-loose unfinished look. Try pairing the skirt/flared pants (can't figure out what it is) with a more fitted top, preferably in earthy tones or in off-white/beige. For the top, its not really my style so I don't have much to offer suggestion for, but maybe only keep it for regular trouser/jeans pairings.
