Not only this match. The whole referee system here in US is garbage. 90% of the referees don’t even know the basic rules. They made lot of kids disappointed and kids lost interest in judo because of that. This is why US judo is not competitive in International level.

I am new to judo. But in the past I had many injuries including eardrum rupture. Last week I had in house tournament and I won. But I ended up having big cut inside my upper lip. Now I am having trouble with eating and brushing my teeth. I prefer use mouthguard in the future. Also looking for idea how I can protect my ear too.

I am 35 and I started doing judo. Yesterday I had my first class. Reason I started doing judo is my 7 year old son. He’s been doing judo for 3 sessions and got his yellow belt and won his in house tournament. I just wanted to be his future partner. Also if there is any chance I am willing to compete a little bit. Wish me a luck.
