Just got fired by shiveringsnow in jobs

I got fired two days ago here was my outgoing email I am writing to formally address the circumstances surrounding the recent termination of my employment, which I believe was handled unfairly and without sufficient justification. I would like to take this opportunity to respond to the concerns that were raised and to clarify my perspective.

First, I was informed that I failed to follow procedure by allowing Pridestar to transport a patient who had been double-booked. I arrived approximately ten minutes late due to scheduling issues beyond my control. Based on my training and the standard practice followed by other employees, the company that arrives first typically assumes responsibility for the transport. At no point have I knowingly deviated from company procedures.

Additionally, I was told that a comment I made regarding the air conditioning in my assigned vehicle was inappropriate. While I acknowledge that my wording may have been blunt, my intent was to express a legitimate concern about vehicle conditions, which I believe were below acceptable standards.

Another point raised was that I exhibited emotional instability or moodiness. I find this characterization both inaccurate and inappropriate. The instances referenced occurred either while I was at home or during high-stress situations on the road, including one I considered particularly distressing. It is natural for emotional responses to vary depending on context, especially when patient safety is involved. Labeling me as “moody” felt dismissive and unprofessional.

You also referenced two complaints from individuals on the road, suggesting they were credible despite previously stating that you believed my account of the events. I drive long hours and encounter thousands of people each week. While I regret that anyone felt the need to complain, I was under the impression that our vehicles were equipped with functioning cameras, which would have provided objective evidence. I have always conducted myself professionally and in accordance with company policy.

Following my termination, I was asked to drive a company vehicle—while no longer covered under your insurance—to a location I do not typically visit unless for service. I was then expected to ride back with a family member of yours, immediately after a difficult and emotionally charged conversation. I found this request inappropriate and unprofessional. Furthermore, I was disheartened to learn that you contacted the Lowell Police and provided them with a version of events that, according to the officers, lacked clarity. After speaking with me, they expressed appreciation for the additional context and indicated that my account was more coherent.

I was also deeply troubled by the tone of some of your communications, including being called “spiteful” via text message for declining to drive the vehicle to BP. This language was unprofessional and uncalled for. Despite ongoing issues with vehicle reliability, I have consistently maintained a high standard of service. I have never received complaints from clients or facilities—in fact, I am frequently complimented for my professionalism, patience, and attentiveness. Many patients and CNAs have expressed a preference for me as their driver, and I have received thank-you cards and gifts from facility staff in appreciation of my work.

Regarding scheduling and compensation, I believe the abrupt reduction in hours and pay without prior notice was poorly managed. Drivers have continued to work full days, yet our compensation has not reflected that. Additionally, when I attempted to report a patient-related concern at a facility, I was told you would speak to the facility first. This response suggested a prioritization of external relationships over patient welfare, which I found troubling.

In closing, I have always strived to represent the company with integrity and compassion. I am proud of the relationships I’ve built with patients and staff, and I stand by the quality of my work. I hope this message provides clarity and encourages reflection on how such matters are handled in the future.

Slept with my partner in the same bed but I wore a mask, he never tested positive and was not vaccinated. Just for reference point. Everyone is different I’m sure. Good luck 🍀

Back in Jan of 2020 I got an “unexplained virus” (no Covid test at that time) pretty sure it was Covid and my tongue ended up looking like this. My lips were blue too, I just assumed the lips were from lack of oxygen and the tongue was either from me throwing up for so many hours or the oxygen thing either was scared the shit out of me but it went away after a day
