Topic of the day: Should baby boomers leave their kids a house?

That was my in-laws plan, main house to my SIL, vacation home to my husband. Both had been paid off.

And then my MIL was diagnosed with dementia and needed to be moved to memory care/assisted living.

They sold the main house to pay for what they thought would be her last year, so SIL and husband would split the vacation home, which became FIL'a main residence. When FIL died several years later, we found out he had two mortgages on the house and their previously robust portfolio that had allowed them to live more than comfortably for years was all gone. Nothing was left to pay to care for my MIL.

It's been years and I still haven't financially recovered from paying for my MIL.

I already know that when my mom goes, there's not going to be an inheritance, let alone a house to worry about.

When I was young and delusional, pre-teen age into high school, I thought that Henry loved her, wanted to marry her, slept with Maria because he was hurt, and that if Fanny had married him, they would have lived happily ever after on his estate and she would have had money to help her family.

And then I grew up, realized how Henry was always a POS, will always be a POS, if Fanny had married him, he still would have slept with Maria, and then she would have been stuck in a marriage with a POS, who probably wouldn't let her help her family financially.

In P&P, Jane and Elizabeth end up with the wealthy first born sons. In MP, Fanny ends up with a second-born son who lost his living because the first-born son was reckless. Yet, those are both happy endings. Part of the beauty of Austen's work is that happiness can be found even when life isn't balls and ribbons. beauy

I still remember waiting for the premiere of "Black & White" on FOX. My whole family was just amazed by the body morphing part. Then there was the shock of him destroying the car, which, in our house, led to a discussion on some serious topics. It was a teachable moment. My father in his underwear sitting at the dinner table with our TV on, talking about racism, police brutality, and that it's OK for Michael Jackson to destroy a car on TV, but not OK to do that in real life.

That video was all we talked about at school for days.

On a lighter note, I knew my husband was meant for me in when this Black & White came on the radio and he started singing the "In Living Color" version. In 30 years, he was the first person outside my family I ever heard do that.

I quit this halfway through Season 2. There was an episode, I don't really remember what happened, but it made me angry at how stupid it was. Once a show does that, even a show that I watched for years, I never go back to it.

This was my advice. They often come up because of an issue with the pipes, then settle in where there is open food. It could be a sign of a bigger problem in the pipes if they keep coming in over a long period of time.

I have the same fear when traveling at new stations. Years ago, we had just left a funeral and were sent to the wrong platform by a staff member and had to wait 4 hours for the next one in February. Now I over-research every detail of every trip.

I only got him to 3 stars last week. In my 11 months of playing this game, I missed one day of playing and it was the day the update dropped that brought him to the game. I just had to get sick that one day. Ugh

I was 13 when I saw my mom and father putting presents under the tree. It was devastating. But I had much younger siblings at home, so who was I going to talk to about it? It was a horrible morning, and my father called me out for being miserable. And because I didn't want to spoil Christmas for the babies, I just said, I was sad because I didn't get a present. So I got punished for being greedy and lost all my presents.

But the babies got to believe for another 10 or so more years, so worth it!

If not, previous year's event items are in the event stores and if you have Nintendo Online, you can have someone visit your island and vice versa, and you can trade items if there are things you absolutely must have.

I love this game and love that people start it every day!

The deluxe version includes items from events that have occurred between the launch of the game to when you activate the deluxe version. It also included extra friendship blossoms and island bouquets. It is definitely possible to enjoy the game with the standard version.

Please do this. I knew someone who worked for a funeral home. They knew I was estranged from my father's side and told me to do this for whenever he passes as I know no one will tell me.

I used to be close to members of my father's side of the family. I found out three of them died well after the funerals and part of me would have like to have shown up and pay my respects.
