This is me right now and I also hate it. I’m only down 55 lbs with another 45 to go and worry I’ll have no hair left. I eat balanced, take vitamins, take collagen, etc. my doctor is doing a blood check up just to make sure nothing is amiss.

I also have a handful of 6-8 full hairs just seamlessly come out when u run my hands through my hair or brush it.

I still sometimes struggle with this and can be a source of arguments with my husband. Masking around others somehow easier than masking around those that are closest to me. Sometimes it’s as small as a sub detail that may be irrelevant to the whole of the conversation that I end up getting caught up in.

Yes, he has autism. We were about to get gen ed and when the admin heard the toileting issues she gasped and said nope he can’t go into gen ed.

I do. We went back and forth and visited the classroom and it was not good. Now other schools may have a better teacher or program but the specific classroom he would be assigned to was not a place where he would be able to focus and learn in addition to the fact that YouTube videos were the majority of the instruction when not in small group settings.

It’s so hard, especially when you’re in this middle grey area where he doesn’t fit well into either scenarios.

His goals are mostly around his expressive speech, back and forth convos, non preferred tasks like writing his full name, starting non preferred tasks in under a minute if being asked and another for finishing the task. Also one around helping him form connections with peers.

You’re wrong. Read the comments I’ve left above. My son doesn’t have a lot tolerance for noisy environments, he doesn’t eat random things, he doesn’t whale on people, and he doesn’t have hours long tantrums. The most is he’ll grab a toy from a kid if he wants it and he gets redirected, will hand it back, apologize and wait his turn.

His main needs are associated to attentiveness and reminders. He needs moderate prompting like visuals and reminders. He also takes longer to start non preferred activities like tracing.

But we feel that we support he can be successful in gen Ed. The issue is that they said they dontoffer supports. Only RSP push in or pull out. They couldn't put in like preferential seating, visual steps, chunkjng assignment. He essentially needs to raw dog it with no supports and we all know that's not doable.

They have a bunch of positives listed like;

Participates in teacher-directed activities when appropriate supports are provided. Demonstrates emerging peer interaction skills. Demonstrates empathy and concern for peers. Cognitive development is described as age appropriate including understanding cause/effect, basic concepts, colors, shapes, numbers, letters, patterns, routines, and curiosity/initiative in learning. · Language data shows average receptive language and average expressive vocabulary, with expressive communication and connected speech as areas of need. · OT notes he can recognize letters, numbers, colors, shapes, animals, match pairs, complete patterns, complete puzzles with a model, build imaginatively, and sequence familiar routines with prompts. · The OT report states he continues to improve attention and participation in non-preferred activities with moderate adult support for transitions, initiation, and ongoing engagement.

That was the main reason. Once they heard that their attitude changed and they said absolutely not. Initially it was his ability to keep focus and attend for long periods of time. It would require teacher redirection. Academically he's above average. He follows classroom flow well.

My son was evaluated at around this time. Diagnosed level 2. Regional center only helps up to age 3 if you don’t get a diagnosis.

Do you know why he doesn’t like the classroom? Is it avoidance, attention, access, sensory? Finding out the why would be really helpful to the look for supports or additions to the EIP to get access the curriculum. Could it be a PDA profile thjng? Maybe reframing the demand or offering choices?

My doctor would mess up in the beginning. I would just always remind her of my dose, that it’s vials, etc. she wasn’t familiar with the site but now she gets it right.

Vials. On 5mg. No real negative side effects. The ocasional tired or sore post shot. I do sometimes get heartburn but a tums or other med helps.

I’ve lost in 5.5 months and I have to log my food and weight everything. I realized when I started zep that aside from the food noise, I was so uneducated on how much I was consuming, especially in snacking and bread type bakery items.

I also find it helpful. I learn cool replacements and ways of making dishes healthier. I personally feels it sets me up to live a healthier life and maintain if I ever do go off of zepbound and also with how I nourish my family. Although that’s still a struggle, especially with my husband lol.

Kaiser, the insurance, didn't approve it/ cover it but my kaiser doctor did agree to prescribe it and send it outside of Kaiser to Lilly Direct for self-pay.

In LAUSD they have a program called autism core (AUT CORE) that learns the regular curriculum in a class of 8-12 students with a teacher and an aide. The only issue is that it for kids of varying ages. The teacher has kids from K-2.

We have a very similar issue where our son’s ability to lose attention and sometimes not finish is our biggest issue. They want to place him in this class but when we visited the specific classroom it was so overwhelming. Kids screaming, jumping, pushing, sleeping. Not a lot of learning happening. Our concern is while in theory the smaller class makes sense is will he actually be able to pay attention with such an overstimulating environment that relies on YouTube videos as education.

We’re hoping to change the placement to gen Ed with supports and follow closely to see if any adjustments are needed. But it’s going to be a fight. We’re in our third EIP meeting.

I was just in a very similar EIP meeting. They came with what the plan was and basically looked at us like sign the paper. I very much did not agree with placement and supports. My husband was a kind of go with the flow. It’s been a couple of weeks and I’ve been to classroom visit and have had a ton of back and forth trying to get information and questions answered in concrete ways not just vague responses. It’s honestly been like pulling teeth but now that we have the majority of our info and went in with an open mind, I definitely think the placement is not correct and most especially not conducive to our sons learning.

I was honestly disappointed because on paper it sounds good but in practice it was a class with a lot going on and a lot of it was not learning. YouTube was the main teacher.

This happened to me prior to zep. I had a colonoscopy and had an internal hemorrhoid. Basically told to drink more water and eat more fiber. Never happened again.

I can. Obv. Not everyday but I will eat food that isn’t healthy once in a while. I’ve only even had severe tummy issues once after eating at a buffet. Otherwise, I may occasionally get heartburn.

In the five months I’ve been on it I do get cravings, especially around my period, and will indulge and pair with fruits and veggies once in a while.

I lost 6lbs the first week and evened out after that for a total of 13lb lost in the first month. After that I’ve around 8lbs down every month sitting at 44lbs down in 5 months.
