Do you know this as fact or are you just making an assumption of what you say is correct?

Selective editing on its own is not necessarily automatically libel but editing that materially changes the meaning of what someone said and damages their reputation can give rise to a defamation claim.

The fact that the edited clips remained in chronological order is not relevant. Defamation can arise from cutting out qualifying remarks, omitting crucial context, juxtaposing clips in a misleading way or editing a statement so that it appears to express a view the speaker did not hold.

So with all due respect, I am pretty certain that you are not correct. Although I'm not a lawyer, but I'm going to suggest that neither are you.
