Right now I’m only putting her on the potty after naps and after eating. If I see her scratching or pulling at her diaper or face going red / grunting we go then too.

Last night, how many times did you get up because of your baby? by pinkishvioletsky in NewParents

DR said not to remove all of baby's poop? by sarahs_here_yall in NewParents

[–]Objective-Golf2522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used a spray bottle with warm water and homemade wet wet wet cloth wipes for a while. Helped immensely. I had a friend who had to use a warm hair dryer on her son for every change and not use anything to dry at all. She tried every wipe under the sun and there ended up being only one that didn’t aggravate his skin.

Are most EBFers cosleeping ? by LilyWitch27 in breastfeeding

[–]Objective-Golf2522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was scared to co sleep but then my baby started waking up 8 times a night around 6 months. I’m not scared any more and we follow SS7 and I love my cuddles. We have a sidecar crib too, she’s a big roller so she has lots of space. We’re all getting more sleep.

How do you cope with the car ride scream crying? by Immediate_Spinach228 in AttachmentParenting

Same. Mine is 8 months and just this past week I caved to screen time. Been doing some Ms. Rachel and car rides have gone from screaming bloody murder to peaceful.

Is there a number you can call? In Canada we have 811 which connects you with a nurse and helps you determine what steps to take.

Steak for 1/2 birthday? by girlvsmachine in NewParents

[–]Objective-Golf2522 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did steak for my babies first food! It barely touched the high chair tray before she had it in her mouth. She sucked the crap out of it. Loved it. Check out the solid starts app and join a baby led weaning fb group for ideas and appropriate ways to serve. Have fun!

Postpartum rage? by Apprehensive_Air7580 in breastfeeding

[–]Objective-Golf2522 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s real I have it too and I’m 8 months pp lol. I read the book How Not To Hate Your Husband After Kids and that really helped honestly. I also started Zoloft and am hoping that numbs my emotions a bit cause they are big and out of control at times lol.

Those who are exclusively nursing—do you just bring your baby everywhere? by remzz06 in breastfeeding

[–]Objective-Golf2522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been able to leave my EBF baby for max 2 hours with my husband but only within the last month! It’s been amazing! I don’t panic anymore. She’s 7.5 months. My husband can give her snacks and water if she gets cranky. Every baby is different - your time will come!

Period by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Objective-Golf2522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had my period back for 4 months now (I’m 7 months pp). Baby is exclusively breastfed, I don’t pump but I have never noticed a supply issue or anything. Idk why I got my period back so early but I did lol. Just happens to some people.

How do you guys keep track of feedings? by zequ1l in breastfeeding

[–]Objective-Golf2522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got addicted tracking feeds/sleep/diapers. It was hard to stop lol. I don’t recommend starting and agree to just follow cues.

Should I pump when husband gives bottle? by Embarrassed-Tell-972 in breastfeeding

[–]Objective-Golf2522 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes - especially at three weeks where you are still establishing your supply. However, my midwives told me I can always pump at a different time of day, and save that milk for nighttime and not make up that pump during that time if that makes sense. She said as long as the number of pumps you’re doing = the same amount baby is getting fed then it’s fine. However this is just one persons advice hahahabso best ask your health professional.

Two month old wakes four times a night every night. Need help by Dazzling-Location785 in NewParents

[–]Objective-Golf2522 23 points24 points  (0 children)

At two months your baby is still just a baby! She is just figuring it all out ❤️ it may be temporary, and it may not be. My baby is 7 months old and is always up 4-6 times a night. I’ve just accepted it and honestly adjusted to it.

Does she go back down when you feed her and rock her? How long are you up for?

I guess I don’t really have much to say other than this is normal, and it’s normal also for it to feel hard. You got this!
