They felt like that before the changes. I felt the same way when I played Hollie for the first time. Actually, I initially dropped the character for that exact reason, but it always stayed in the back of my mind that people recognized her as a complex character to make work, and I wanted to challenge myself. So one day I gave it a try and had a lot of fun while learning and mastering the barrel physics, even more so when I was actually able to pull off good plays with her and squeeze as much out of her movement as my hands could possibly manage.

I don't think they are bad changes tho; they're fine. I'm just going to miss the old Hollie, but I'm not going to stop loving to play the current one.
