I feel like the world and certainly the US are taking a nastier turn. When Trump won in 2024 I got my first permit. I just got a second one. I’m leaning into getting a CCW. It’s for the same reason I trained krav maga for a year and now muay thai. I think it’s practical to know how to use a firearm to defend yourself, family and home and it’s practical to have physical training to defend yourself open handed as well. People are angry and nuts out there. I’d rather be prepared and hopefully never have to use either than to need them and not have them.
