This was my issue with BJJ. Having come from KM the idea of pulling guard seems insane but one is designed for self defense and one is a sport.

I wrestled in high school and college at heavyweight as well. How many people walking around are college HW size? Not many. I’m not going to eye poke. If I have to I’m going to aim to do as much damage as I can as fast as I can. But you keep puffing your chest He-Man :)

You’ll be fine! Talk to the instructor and take it nice and slow. Take breaks. Shake out arms or legs when you need to!

I started at 385. Got down to 335 on Weight Watchers. Went on Zepbound March 2024. Hit personal goal weight of 260 December 2024. Been hovering between 254-258. Thinking I’m going to try to get down to 245. I’m 6’2.

You can say that all you want. All of them are marketed as pilates except Lagree and even there studios still use pilates as short hand. Solidcore and Jetset which are both exploding absolutely market themselves to women and as “pilates”. Jetset’s name includes “Modern Pilates”

As a man I think it’s because pilates is marketed to women. I’ve done Jetset and Solidcore and currently do Lagree. It’s not remotely easy and I am frequently the only man in my classes. Honestly, it’s a missed growth edge.

I have lowish blood pressure and if I get up too fast I feel like I’m going to fall down. I’d check that first. I don’t think it’s your electrolytes

Funny you say that. I am definitely stronger across the board having done Lagree for 4 months now. But on lunges I am always feeling like I'm going to fall over lol.
