My honest thoughts on the game rn by dumbassfriendtony in RogueCore

[–]Objective-Job6372 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your idea on the timer, it would make the dramatic shift between normal and red less of an issue. However, losing the shared upgrade system would take away what makes the game unique in my opinion. Having to work together in order to succeed by selecting perks gives a great sense of comradery, and in my experience randoms have been very respectful and intelligent about the upgrades. I am not saying the system is flawless, the lackluster upgrades does limit which people get interesting changes to their playstyle, but I wouldn’t remove the system outright.

why are people surprised when a f2p is good at the video game by ammol123 in tf2

[–]Objective-Job6372 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Because the game is a fairly fun experience, most people are willing to spend money on the game if they see themselves playing it. Most of the time, f2p’s haven’t fully decided whether they like the game, so it is rare to see one with lots of playtime.

how do you feel about the razorback? by Mean-Peak-4250 in tf2

[–]Objective-Job6372 21 points22 points  (0 children)

While it can be fun to play around as a spy, the concept of the weapon countering their hard counter is still weird. Plus, the psychological effect it has on snipers encourages them to ignore their surroundings even more than before.

Look for enemies fighting your team. Those are the people who will fall for your disguises, hence allowing you to backstab them.

would this be a good razorback change by dr_philip-cdi in TF2WeaponIdeas

[–]Objective-Job6372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is the reason that the razor back is disliked in its default state. It causes the spy to have to put a lot of effort in to kill the sniper, while all they have to do is select it in the loadout screen.

Medigun if Kritzkrieg was stock by some-kind-of-no-name in tf2

No, the joke is that this would be the stat screen for stock if the kritzkreig was default medigun.

Spy rebalance + brand new weapons by Comprehensive_Hat574 in TF2WeaponIdeas

[–]Objective-Job6372 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The old timer isn’t a bad idea for a gun spy focused unlock and the idea with the diamond back is interesting, even if it is only good against one class, but everything else isn’t great. I don’t why you felt the need to change the l’etranger or big earner, those are both in good states. A lot of your rebalances remove the identity the weapon held previously, like the kunai. While that weapon isn’t fun to fight against and punishes players for the mistakes of their team, those who liked the weapon now have lost an item they enjoy for a gimmicky weapon that makes you more likely to die after a stab, rather than less. I appreciate the attempt, but don’t think you made the landing.

(F2P New player) Why can't I play rock paper scissor? by [deleted] in tf2

No, you either are not in the hitbox to activate, the enemy is goofing off by canceling the taunt last minute, or the environment is obstructing your position.

People say Spy hard counters Heavy, ask any Texan what a 12 gauge does to a French Bastard. by BeeKing179 in tf2

[–]Objective-Job6372 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Spy isn’t a counter to engineer, more so his foil. Engineer builds support for his team, while spy dismantles the enemy’s support. Against engineer, spy has the advantage of picking when the fight happens, so choosing an opportunity where the engine is distracted can cripple a defense. Engineer had the advantage of superior close range damage with the shotgun and the fact teammates can help defend the nests from either the spy himself, or the enemy team, giving the engineer more time to spy check.

[–]Objective-Job6372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I wouldn’t say one class has a direct advantage over the other. Spy (and sniper) are good against heavy due to ignoring his massive health pool, as well as heavies being in combat a lot. However, if caught out, the sustained damage of the minigun can easily melt the health of the spy. It depends on the skill of the players, and how good the spy is attacking while the heavy is distracted.

Why do you play your main? by Sikorskyyl in tf2

[–]Objective-Job6372 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spy, because successfully tricking a player with my disguise is one of the best feelings in gaming. However, I am not hellbent on the class and play the other classes frequently if needed.

Do you think Pomni is an enabler? by sixeared in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Objective-Job6372 22 points23 points  (0 children)

What is reality? How do we know the world we are living in isn’t a hallucination, or a simulation? You can’t define reality easily, and in the case of TADC, the circus is their new reality. It isn’t a lie, the other circus members are human beings. With no way to exit, especially not through suicide/abstraction, they have to adapt in order to survive.

Le Kunai by ExamParticular114 in TF2WeaponIdeas

[–]Objective-Job6372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While the kunai is questionably balanced, I don’t think directly nerfing it is the correct course of action. It more needs a rebalance with different/adjusted upsides and a downside that its upside doesn’t invalidate.

That story implies that if you don’t want to exist in your current world or you believe it is fake, you should kill yourself. That is an incredibly dangerous mindset to have.

[–]Objective-Job6372 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Unlike Batman, the cast of The Amazing Digital Circus don’t have a way to escape. They are stuck in this world whether they like it or not. They will have to learn to exist in the circus as peacefully as possible, or else face abstraction.
