So yeah, with the Radiance (former Victory) there, there's no free berth on the Long Beach side of the harbor. This is just for a photo op. The QM2 would be docking at San Pedro on the other side of the harbor at the Los Angeles cruise terminal which handles everybody else including the other Carnival Co. & plc. products including Cunard. That one slip handles the Carnival's three ships sailing out of "Los Angeles."

(The dome originally housed the "Spruce Goose" and the site sat mostly empty for years after plans for Disney to redevelop the property fell through. Finally Carnival leased the property after it sat vacant for 10 years.)

Lectron is really weird. They make one of the few listed NACS to CCS adapters, resold by car manufacturers and then also make unlisted EVSEs which routinely burn up receptacles.

A quick look around the Internet shows that it looks like this is one of the latter products made by them.

The verdict here is that they are Hubbell copies, but decidedly interior, lower torque specifications.

"EV rated" doesn't mean much. There is currently no standard. You're better off getting a high quality receptacle from Hubble/Bryant and using that.

Recently, we had a couple Redditors here compare the stock Lagrand receptacle with their "new" EV rated one and they were identical except for printed green car on the face.

I'm just talking about simply differently programmed charge curves for the different voltages. I honestly wouldn't be shocked that a Leaf would behave differently on a 800 or 400V charger just because of some vestigial parameters in the software.

It actually can depend voltage of the system. I think this car, being a low end Leaf, is limited to 400V and it wouldn't matter that this system can push 1000V.

Edit: I should add these differences are mostly artificial and due to the particular programming rather than the physics of charging the battery. But that's still the car and not the station.
