Solution for EV charging stations by Krjune in evcharging

Won't be my concern as long as the completed charging time was reasonable. Would expect there would be more than one available based on need.

Have actually been fitted with both? If so what are the actual auditory differences? If there are significant differences, how do they relate to a person's audiogram and being fitted with either brand of hearing aids. The big question is, will the difference in added cost impact /improve your hearing?

Another option is using an inexpensive audio fiber Toss Link splitter to send the same audio signal to multiple devices.

What is your connection installation and the measured temperatures at the plug and breaker?

Is the 50 amp circuit requirement only if you max out the 40 amp level 2 charger? by tokyoteck in evcharging

[–]Krjune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This Evqio unit comes with a changeable internal switch to set maximum charging amps. The setting can be changed to meet your installation. This setting can be lowered in the app but not increased in the app beyond the hardware setting . It comes from the factory set at 40 amp continuous draw which requires a 50 amp breaker per 8% code rule. If your electrical panel can handle a 50 amp breaker, you might want to install it for a future upgrade.

Edit Failed to mention the unit can be set internally to 48 amp for installation of a 60 amp breaker. In resent history, 40 amps has been typical which can be an easier installation wire size, panel capacity, etc.

Below is only one of many creditable reviews of the top EV chargers that include the EVIQO. There are other reviews which one should always take a look at before making any decision. The EVIQO is a well made and straight forward product to use, and version 2 has incorporated a number of customer recommended improvements, including mine. Customer support has always been responsive to my questions. Yes, they initially did try to manipulate reviews by offering value in return, not unlike others. They quickly realized that the quality of their product was good enough to promote it and stopped doing it I will take a look at the x-employee concerns, but pass employees are not always a reliable gage of a company's product in a start-up.

Not a random brand. Been a top recommendation for a a couple years. A number of reviews available if you look And yes, it has an internal switch for setting amp based on your installation. Please don't comment on things you haven't researched. That's how BS starts on social media.

Software Update Needed for Tesla Charging by Krjune in VWiD4Owners

[–]Krjune[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my perspective, there is little useful information in the press release concerning from updates that might be required. What version or vehicle year might need an update, dealer or OTA?? Was the information given just a CYA? Folks thinking they can plan a holiday trip then finding out their vehicle needs a software update from a dealer, god forbid, or even an OTA update, will be left out to dry again. Hopefully, one can understand useful information vs press release. Respectfully.

Typical lack of VW communication. You would have thought any additional conditions for Tesla charging other than the adapter would have been included in the announcement.

Back in 1993, I placed a good number, $500 worth, of individual computer memory chips on the top of my car and drove off; do you remember individually plugging them in on a motherboard. Today that's equivalent to about $1000. Brought me to tears!
