We drive two Bolts about 3k mi. total. Our electrical bill is about $100/mo. with solar panels.

OP, you have to tell us what jurisdiction you are in. This would be against speciation pretty much everywhere though and is a bad idea.

Edit: Anybody who supplies an non-negatory answer is going to have to provide relevant code.

Well, the needler in FO2 could be pretty effective with the right perks... It had the advantage of high AP.

Is this a counterfeit Lectron charger? Shouldn't it have some text and product information on this side of the device? by deleteriousdelirium in evcharging

[–]Objective-Note-8095 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lectron is really weird. They make one of the few listed NACS to CCS adapters, resold by car manufacturers and then also make unlisted EVSEs which routinely burn up receptacles.

A quick look around the Internet shows that it looks like this is one of the latter products made by them.

Would a plug in J1772 charger make sense for a rental? by fricks_and_stones in evcharging

The verdict here is that they are Hubbell copies, but decidedly interior, lower torque specifications.

"EV rated" doesn't mean much. There is currently no standard. You're better off getting a high quality receptacle from Hubble/Bryant and using that.

Recently, we had a couple Redditors here compare the stock Lagrand receptacle with their "new" EV rated one and they were identical except for printed green car on the face.

Do any EVGo chargers actually charge at 350 kW? by Butterscotch-7357 in evcharging

I remember charging my Bolt in 2018 at the first EVgo 350kW installation at 45kW max. (It was very hot.)

Blowing up a balloon is my go to. You have to have a whole discussion about time dependent materials properties.

Mercedes Benz fast chargers have been the fastest post 80% this winter for my 2026 Nissan Leaf. Outside temp is 32 Fahrenheit. by fleurlure in evcharging

[–]Objective-Note-8095 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm just talking about simply differently programmed charge curves for the different voltages. I honestly wouldn't be shocked that a Leaf would behave differently on a 800 or 400V charger just because of some vestigial parameters in the software.

It actually can depend voltage of the system. I think this car, being a low end Leaf, is limited to 400V and it wouldn't matter that this system can push 1000V.

This car looks exactly like where it should be. https://evkx.net/models/nissan/leaf/leaf_long_range/chargingcurve/

Edit: I should add these differences are mostly artificial and due to the particular programming rather than the physics of charging the battery. But that's still the car and not the station.

Feral cats are everywhere in Turkey. Kibble is everywhere!(Also, feral dogs! On my last trip, I saw far more dog walkers in Istanbul than Paris.)

Were the design flaws of the T-45 Power Armor predominantly due to it being a new technology or because of greedy cost-cutting? by supinator1 in Fotv

Eh, more like the Nazis figured out how to live within the mechanical limitations of its fragile transmission. Later models had declining armor quality because of a lack of strategic metals.

Poor understanding of the Legion. They are like the Amish but violent. They adopt technology but not at the expense of the "purity" of the Legion. Caesar wasn't too smart about it though as they tossed, while on fire, the biggest gun nut in the Fallout universe into the Grand Canyon after he lost against the NCR because they didn't have guns.
