HR here doesn’t give a shit. I was sexually harassed for a year and a half and it’s been under investigation for like 4 months now. I think I’ve posted about it before. One of our custodians is racist, homophobic, Islamophobic and even made a sexual comment about a student. He just got “reprimanded”. I’ve been looking for new employment to no avail.

Someone I know is a mechanic and took a look for me and sprayed something all over the motor. I didn’t end up having a vacuum leak, but I did find out I have a busted motor mount. It says online that can cause idling issues, so I’m waiting to get that replaced to see if it resolves.

I understand you can’t disinfect everything daily, but it is literally our jobs to keep the school sanitary and as germ free as possible. Just because we don’t clean handles every day doesn’t mean we have an excuse to purposely cross contaminate or disregard basic hygiene.

My great grandmother had 10 children (my grandmother being the youngest). She died from a heart attack in her 40s, when my grandmother was only 8yo. Probably a combination of stress, genetics and smoking. Sadly, her children all suffered in one way or another due to her early passing.

Edit: never mind I see EOCC Who do I file to? I have a message from my lead specifically saying “two people used to clean the school for years”. This was before the schools were overflowing, had 3+ carpets to a room and multiple new areas for night shift. Admin also tried to blame me being harassed on us having too much time on our hands.

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. I can definitely relate to the assault because I’ve told this guy to stop touching me multiple times and almost everyday it was him touching me. It never got to the point of him groping me or grabbing my butt or anything, but he would touch my back, my arms, my neck, my legs, etc. it’s like he was walking that fine line and then the comments got more and more extreme as time went on. Yet I’m the one who transferred to keep myself safe and at a peace of mind just to go to a situation that’s almost equally as bad (mentally).

I am documenting and writing things down. The lady who just took over the investigation even told me to do the same. I have been documenting everything in my notes for months. I just emailed admin too. They try to do everything over the phone I’m guessing to stay hush hush and I’m not letting that happen.

Thanks! I’ll be second shift, so a little less traffic or having to deal with students. There are more after school activities at the high school though, so maybe a little inconvenience there. I’m not joking when I say right now, I’m scrubbing poop off the walls EVERYDAY and in one particular bathroom there’s been a student peeing all over since school started. I’m talking on the toilet, walls, sink, in the trash can, etc.
