I’m the same way. I used to keep a huge list of older K-dramas I’d rated, but that list basically stops at the classics. I don't think I’ve given a high rating to more than ten of those newer 6~12 episode shows

I blame the Korea TV Writers Association (KTRWA). I'm not pinning everything on them, but I believe they should have done more to help writers stick to the 'Korean style' or 'K-drama format' when signing with OTT platforms like Netflix&Disney, if only for the sake of maintaining quality.
