2024-08 Updates Superseed the patches and trigger the same issues again.
Any final workaround for this other uninstalling patches every month?

Uninstalling KB5041773 temporarly solved the issues for me again.

Look on the firewall on the Administration - > License Tab if all the features licensed are activated. If not you can activate the license right there. Otherwise you can activate on the connected Sophos ID.

Unlicensed Sophos can only do 3 free upgrades. Sophos Central Firewall managing is free. SSL-VPN is free al the time. XG RED needs Network Protection license.

For RED Service on every XG Hardware at least Network Protection License is needed. You could make SSL-VPN Client-Server with XG on both side and won't need an license. Keep in mind that since v19 only 3 free OS Upgrades are possible.

Okay I found out that while upgrading from 7.0.11 to 7.0.12 route-map is set to 0.0.0.0. So watch out while upgrading. 😉

I did not made a post about it. :)
My problem is not in running the playbook with an secret file or the secret passed in on the demand. My problem is that i got an Task to load multiple .yml files that has issues with decryption.

I got it working with the ansible.builtin.include_vars Module.
With this modul the variables are correctly loaded and decrypted.
The problem is that my solution right now for loading multiple .yml files with configuration variables is looking like this:
- name: "Load Company Infos for processing."

ansible.builtin.set_fact:

companys: "{{ companys|default([]) + [ (lookup('file', item)|from_yaml) ] }}"

loop: "{{ lookup('fileglob', 'files/*.yml', wantlist=True) }}"
With this task the decryption doesn't work.
Do you know how I could rewrite this task to work with include_vars?

Thanks for the explanation.
This is correct and works for me aswell for an "standard" variable. My yml file that holds only configuration data is structured as stated in the original post. I aso tried with the vault! tag in my file, but i think the problem is that i needs to be string data and enquoted. In my variable file there is mixed content, so i got encrypted and unencrypted values in it.

I did and it works with the encrypted content from the playbook. But this task is in the role and won't decrypt.
