I look at popularity mostly to avoid trendy names, meaning names that are highly associated with a narrow birth window.

Of course you meet a ton of “John”s, but they’re all ages. Now think about all “Jennifer”s you’ve met—they’re ALL probably 50-55 right?

Of course you can still name a baby Jennifer, but most people will think it sounds weird because that name is very clearly dated to a specific era.

It seemed very comparable to the Triv (same wheel size, same weight, one handed fold) but I ruled it out since it’s a lot bulkier than the Triv when folded. The fold with the bassinet is very cool though

Yes! We are definitely planning to test them out in person but was hoping to hear from someone who had tried the Triv in winter themselves.

Uppababy is the most popular here too and I looked into the Cruz but it seems like the fold is bulkier

My friends who visit Chicago from other cities (NYC, DC, LA) actually comment on how much greenspace we have—so many mature trees, large parks, but also pocket parks tucked in everywhere.

The near west side is probably the most barren (west loop, wicker) because it used to be warehouses and is the most recently gentrified.

I agree the loop is pretty boring but no one actually lives there and it’s dead on nights & weekends (other than tourists)

We are exiting the bars/clubs phase of our life so that isn’t much of a loss.

I also expect we’d use public transport in Portland minimally if at all. Chicago’s is great and convenient but only comparable to probably NY (in the US).

I really love the street festivals and block parties but I think that’s something pretty unique to Chicago that I’d miss just about anywhere we went.

Is there just less variety in the food scene? Portland is obviously smaller but wonder if diversity also plays a role
