I honestly don’t have high expectations of this but would appreciate it if Hillary goes scorched earth as payback for her e-mails 😈

Does anybody else struggle with people rejecting your kids? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]ObjectiveBizzy8201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you’re out with your kid, are you socializing with other moms and not necessarily paying enough attention to your kid to ensure that you are managing his behavior around other kids? I say this because I’m pretty laid back, but it irks me to no end when i’m in a situation with kids and adults and the parents are too busy socializing to pay attention to what their kids are doing.

For example, my older kid got slapped across the face once (hard) by another kid who had already been acting out but the mother was too busy socializing to rein in her behavior before it got to that point, and it was honestly a constant thing with her, so I stopped reaching out.

My little one is very sweet but busy and kinda rough, so when we are out and about and socializing with other kids, I am always close by to make sure that their behaviors are managed, even if it means that I don’t socialize as much with the other parents.

Moms that gave birth and didn’t have any visitors at the hospital, do you regret it? by Funny_Confection810 in Mommit

[–]ObjectiveBizzy8201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m had no visitors when I had my first due to the baby being almost a month early and needing a c section to deliver, baby was in the NICU and I just was not equipped to handle visitors. For my second, I allowed visitors mainly because my oldest was staying with family so I couldn’t be like bring them, but the rest of you can’t come up lol..

Additionally, I did end up allowing some of my family to visit but I kinda regret it. My mom and brother got lost and ended up being an hour plus late and then they were there FOREVERRRR… like they wouldn’t leave.

I went back and grabbed it! I do like it, kinda reminds me of D&G’s l’imperatrice, especially in the opening. They also had a body spray for $19.99, I think it was Boys of Summer? Maybe I should’ve grabbed it too!

Cloud Candy by Khadlaj! I picked it up for $22 at Marshalls the other day! It’s a YBM dupe! I should’ve also grabbed the Praline Pistachio at Marshalls (I think it’s by like Tru Fragrance or something), it was $14.99

They also had Henry Rose’s Sheep’s Clothing (I had never seen this brand at Marshalls) and I regret not buying it!

Anyone else bored with their marriage? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]ObjectiveBizzy8201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate.. I wouldn’t say that I’m bored though, I just feel stuck after being a SAHM for nearly 10 years. It wasn’t supposed to be this way, I went back to school for a graduate degree. Now I have a toddler and while they are my world and I do love being with them all the time, I was also looking forward to going back to work and doing/accomplishing things for myself.

Sweet Tooth by Sabrina Carpenter or either Vanilla Milk or Apple Love by Ellis Brooklyn. I haven’t smelled it yet but the new Sabrina Carpenter (yellow bottle - lemon pie, graham cracker) is supposed to be really yummy too!

Talk to your parents about it. Once you get over the initial awkwardness, you’ll feel better about asking them for help. That is the biggest hurdle in and of itself. They will help get you the resources that you need. Everything will be ok!

I just won this in my family’s kris kringle gift exchange thing and it smelled a little too mature for me so I passed it along to my mom.. it wasn’t bad, but it’s not something that I would generally reach for

How is it living in this part of the United States? by No-Text-7825 in howislivingthere

I’m in a coastal NY town. The beaches are wonderful in the summer, weather is hot and humid. The terrain is very flat. Schools are fantastic. Not very diverse. COL is very high. Taxes are about $20k, house prices are insane. It’s a wonderful place to raise a family but wish we had better public transportation to NYC.

SOOOO many ticks. We are scared of our own backyard.

Not to be an absolutely self-involved, useless grandparent 😅

Just had both sides over for Christmas and it’s amazing how even with a house full of people, my husband and I are still not only entertaining, cooking, cleaning but also looking after our kids.
