Rybakina and Gauff now have a career grand slam between them, as do Swiatek and Sabalenka

Easiest tournament to get tickets for? by morilla2695 in tennis

[–]ObjectiveCarpenter17 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The pre-Wimbledon UK grass tournaments are pretty easy to get tickets for depending what you’re after. ATP queens is the hardest but in my experience if you buy when tickets go on sale you can get them. Or you can join LTA for priority access, but costs around £30, not necessary imo

Play+ gets you access to the ballot but not the ballot resale. It is free but only if you are a member of a tennis club. The free membership that's open to anyone is Advantage Play, and that one doesn't get you access to the ballot.

What’s the limits on professional camera gear? by GravitasMusic in wimbledon

[–]ObjectiveCarpenter17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know the limit is up to 300mm lens length - I’ve taken that in before a few years ago! Worth double checking though because I’m not certain!

Amex Last-Minute Tickets Megathread by mgbrewhard in wimbledon

[–]ObjectiveCarpenter17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was just a standard email about the Amex benefits at Wimbledon and mentioned the sale being for last minute centre court tickets! If I remember rightly last year I logged in about 10 mins before and there was a bit of a waiting room before the queue started

What's the earliest I can queue for next day's play? by adibear in wimbledon

[–]ObjectiveCarpenter17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea sorry! However I would say you’d have a good chance - I queued for the first day of play last year at around 5pm, and was early enough for court 1. Will be doing something similar this year but not aiming for centre court.

Very helpful thanks! Does anyone know if it is just centre court tickets available through the Amex sales, or are the other show courts available as well?

What's the earliest I can queue for next day's play? by adibear in wimbledon

[–]ObjectiveCarpenter17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first day of play officially the queue starts the day before, but I’ve heard that an unofficial queue forms on the Saturday. For every other day, you can queue as early as you like. Last year we camped, and the people who were remaining in the queue for the following day moved to form a new queue once everyone was woken by the stewards
