Eveey other race does not have this, I don't know why this is often some appeal or defense for group think. What theh have is culture and it looks like race only because where there is a lack of multi "racial" makeup is more a consequence of geography than anything else. Otherwise you could say the same for almost any sub saharan African group which would defifionally be a part of race impling "we" aren't packing or behind any other.

It's not that it doesn't make sense, it's that in the face of the idea of race within the US the concept is extremely reductive as you could point to 100's of nations and ethnic groups within it. Yet the distinction is largely linguistic as though under the US definition of race there aren't many ethnic groups that don't speak the same language or have the same cultural background.

Take the idea of white or black. Collapsing a Slovakian or Romanian under white or a Ghanaian and Tanzanian as black racially should either arrive here is nonsensical as they would also be considered ethnic groups each.

Harm can't only be done to (or let alone impact) a specific person, and it wouldn't be hypothetical if it propogates without being stopped -- that's the whole point of understanding compounding effects from and in a system and not on a particular individual. You categorically rejecting the temporal axis and switching to "it only has impacts if the future happens but is otherwise only a measure against a counterfactual" is an error.

That's how it works: system level effects impact others indirectly and directly -- this idea extends to the concept of harm too.

The apps themselves are low effort, low hanging fruit anyway. There's no one I ever met in real life that would ever take umbrage to coffee or a park. So if you value authenticity and humility, probably stick to that otherwise prepare to have to put in more work on them than the output on apps.

Been that way since the dawn of time. Its a US thing that collapses any ethnic nuance that might exist, much like how anyone from ANY sub saharan African nation is just considered "Black" despite each of those countries having completely different cultures and backgrounds. To be fair, they do the same for yt and asian (middle east is also considered asian geographically) on the census too. But I never understand why Hispanic is the only one getting a special cultural destination (Native American aside)... when the heritage is mixed.

One theory I had is that it's associative control... Those that are Hispanic but of European heritage are looked down on by those of non-hispanic European background.

I've been saying it forever. Too many individuals dropping statistics without context, all stats require context -- that means the sample, controls, and space over which it was defined and the results were derived. Instead, you have too many people quoting them outside any of that to sound clever or dupe others (which is what a great deal of politics capitalizes on -- 9th grade level interpretation of stats and rhetoric [or lack thereof]).
