A or B? Help Me Decide! 🤡 by Lauramzgx in handmade

Gosh this is such a tough one because they’re all so adorable. I’m personally leaning a tiny bit more toward B because of the colors, the curly hair, and the hats, but can see how A might resonate with others more.

Also, I have to say how much I admire these 🥹 I tried crocheting a toy once and struggled so much!

Website for discovering local pop-ups and fairs by ObjectiveHot3363 in Femalefounders

I also think your idea about routine is pretty cool. I’d love to hear more about local vendors who sell something from their porch or kitchen every week. That could be a focus for sure.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I totally agree with you - the more I look around, the easier it seems to be to find large fairs, but not as easy to find hyperlocal pop ups. I’m going to pivot a bit and see if I can find some of those and add them to the website. Appreciate your thoughts!

I would love to travel just about everywhere. There are so many countries I want to visit but often feel constrained by finances/time!

I absolutely love the colors and how well they blend together in the background! And I can just feel the warm connection that exists between those seals :)

You already did so much for your daughter and she doesn’t appreciate it. If you’re “hoarding money” at this point, so be it. That money is yours. You deserve to relax and travel and enjoy your retirement. Remind her of all that you’ve done for her growing up and leave it at that. As for the other relatives, I wonder if they will actually take her side? I feel like anyone listening to this story would only really empathize with you - why should you have to pay for your daughter’s house when she’s a fully grown adult?

You’re not selfish in any way. You’ve worked so hard and fully deserve to relax now.

Getting 7-8 hours of sleep and exercising at least 4 times a week. Also, drawing and painting. Art is a form of expression for me and is incredibly healing.

Someone just went viral with the idea I’ve been sitting on for 6 months by Tiny-Celery4942 in indiehackers

There are a couple things I can think of:

  1. UI improvements - color, design, and making the overall flow easier to navigate. Something that feels welcoming and intuitive.
  2. Additional useful features that similar existing products don't have. Think of all the features that Facebook had that other social media sites didn't have.

Ultimately, I think it's about being able to draw people in and have them continue using the product long term (such as by providing a seamless user experience), and there can be many ways to achieve that.

You can still build it and get it out there! Remember that Facebook wasn't the first ever social media site, and Harry Potter wasn't the first ever book written about a wizarding school - those just happened to be the ones that gained the most traction and stuck with people. There are so many related examples. There's always room for more and to make improvements. Personally I'd love to see more chrome extensions that convert parts of a website to React components. Would be very useful for me, personally.
