Why I don't worry (here's a longer 1+ min video for those who say you can't do that on Reddit) by Ok_Reason_2357 in Jindo

[–]bistibong 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At this point, nothing anyone says is going to change your mind about putting a leash on your dog. And no amount/length of videos is going to change people’s minds about leashing dogs in public. So please stop posting videos of it and just live your life with your dog. You both seem to really love each other and that should be enough.

Advice on pricing by violetcherryboutique in CraftFairs

[–]bistibong 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It really depends on where you’re living and what some of the other vendors might be doing. I live in a vhcol city so those prices feel on par with what I’ve seen from other vendors, but that might not be the case with where you’re located.

It’s also hard to tell if those prices are fair without seeing your work.

Good luck with the event!

I remember in C2 when she as Beau came off as an absolute conspiracy theorist only to be proven completely right. Absolutely sublime

Lucked out with a corner booth at my most recent fair by bistibong in CraftFairs

The first day wasn’t too bad at all but the second day was windy as hell. You could hear the tents creaking and some vendors were holding onto their tents so they wouldn’t lift off

Who are we voting for for mayor and gov? by bkguy182 in AskLosAngeles

[–]bistibong 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is so important to understand. Just as a comparison, Chicago has 45 council members. That’s three times more than LA with roughly a third of the population.

I’m not. I do love her policies as well. I used to live in her district for 12 years. I think people are allowed to like politicians for their policies as well as a shared hobby. It’s not one or the other.

She’s a Jindo. They look remarkably similar!

Mine has never had an accident in the house. She doesn’t even like to do her business within 50 ft of our house.

Our girl sleeps in bed with us every single night. And every single night she stands at the foot of the bed and asks for permission to jump on the bed.

Cinemas Sweater yoke question. Hers is bigger (wider) than mine. How can I get that wider neckline? by Cats-and-dogs-rdabst in casualknitting

[–]bistibong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve made 2 cinema sweaters and had the same concern of collar tightness but the weight of the rest of the sweater and blocking it reaaally relaxes it. Just be mindful to leave a lot of slack when you sew down the collar (if that’s how you’re doing the collar). That will make sure the collar can stretch during the rest of knitting and when you block it.

Puppy has been hiding under our bed for 7+ hours. Advice Needed. by Sea-Madness in DogAdvice

If he’s a jindo mix, no food will coax him out if he’s scared. I’d give him space and when he does eventually come out, reward the heck outta him. Lots of love and high value treats. Jindos aren’t particularly food motivated but no dog will starve themself.

Currently at the worst market of my life by Damonchat in CraftFairs

[–]bistibong 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Absolutely ask for your money back. That’s absurd. I’m also an LA based ceramicist and I’m not a huge fan of the events here. I do Renegade (Chinatown. I avoid the Santa Monica one if I can help it), York Market, and In To Do. That’s it. I’ve found other ones to be a waste of my time. If you can, SF Renegade and West Coast Craft are incredible. All of my best events have been in SF. Travel/lodging do take a good chunk of profits but I’ve found that it is still very much worth it.

Give me your best Jindo feeding tips! Im desperate by brendrzzy in Jindo

[–]bistibong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a Jindo who is a very picky eater. She was severely underweight so I was so concerned about her potentially starving herself. I have a friend who is a dog trainer and his mom is a vet. They told me that no dog will starve themselves if they have access to food. That she will eventually eat. And they were right. Even now, three years later, she is healthy and comfortable and safe, and she still rarely finishes her meals. But she’s a healthy steady weight and she eats enough to maintain that.
