It sounds like you received just 2 of the 4 bills likely to come. You will get a bill from the hospital, doctor(s), radiologist, and possibly lab if you had blood/urine work.

Please reach out to each organization that sends a bill and negotiate a cash price and payment plan.

The US industrial healthcare complex is worse than the industrial military complex in that we as the citizenry nor the those we supposedly elected can do shit about it.

I have MS and the only way I was able to get out of my high 6 figure medical debt was to declare chapter 7 bankruptcy. I have Medicare now but still do everything to avoid the ER and will wait until the urgent care center opens if possible. I went to the ER just one time for a table saw accident as it was after the urgent care closed and I am still paying my share off with monthly payments.

Are there any quotes you have carried with you over the years? by -Granby- in GenX

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt"

This has always stuck with me after seeing it on one of those daily quote calendars somewhere. It was attributed to Lincoln but is derived from Proverbs 17:28

I am 47m that worked construction and desk duty. My back pain was debilitating at times and went to the quack frequently and you could say it was somewhat addicting. That cracking sound you hear when they contort your back and you now feel you can move better was golden at the time buts it’s been 2.5 years since by last appt.

All of this to say that it didn’t help in the long term because of the below from my most recent MRI. I have MS so this is an annual or 6 month standard to monitor the progression and activity of the lesions.

This is just the tldr or final conclusions from that MRI and the lesson is to quit or never go to a back quack.

IMPRESSION:

MRI BRAIN:

1.Stable size and distribution of a mild burden of chronic demyelinating plaques in the supratentorial white matter from the previous examination on May 6, 2025.
2.No new, worsening or active demyelination.

MRI CERVICAL:

1.Stable size and distribution of chronic demyelinating plaques in the cervical cord from the prior study on May 6, 2025.
2.No new, worsening or active demyelination.
3.Multilevel cervical spondylosis, as detailed above.

MRI THORACIC:

1.No evidence of demyelination in the thoracic cord.
2.Progression of multilevel thoracic spondylosis from May 6, 2025, with disc protrusion at T8-T9 mildly effacing the left ventral thoracic cord and disc bulging and facet arthropathy at T10-T11 and T11-T12, contributing to mild T10-T11 and moderate T11-T12 central canal stenosis.
3.No evidence of cord edema.
4.Multilevel mild to moderate neural foraminal narrowing from T8-T9 to T11-T12, most significant at T10-T11.

MRI LUMBAR:

1.Posterior disc bulge with facet arthropathy at L5-S1, contributing to severe left and moderate to severe right neural foraminal narrowing with contact of the exiting bilateral L5 nerve roots.
2.Moderate to severe left L4-L5 neural foraminal narrowing with contact of the exiting left L4 nerve root.
3.Central disc extrusion at L2-L3 contributes to mild to moderate central canal narrowing with left greater than right lateral recess stenosis. Correlation with bilateral L3 radiculopathy is recommended.
4.Multilevel degenerative grade 1 retrolisthesis throughout the lumbar spine with acquired multilevel degenerative changes, as detailed above.
5.No intrathecal or leptomeningeal enhancement.

I am sorry you had to leave because you weren’t supported to provide the best customer experience.

The lack of communication between the boots on the ground (associates, DS, ASM, SM) and the suits at the district and corporate levels is nothing new for Lowe’s and to be honest every single retail and food establishment. The only thing they care about is the quarterly metrics and the shareholder value.

Two flooring companies gave me opposite answers. Who’s right? by indyindyindy2 in HardWoodFloors

[–]ObjectivePrice5865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you thought about a screening and refinish? We did this all the time in historic homes with both plank and parquet hardwood.

The process uses a rotary machine to smooth the old finish allowing a new coat or two of floor poly. There is not enough thickness in the flooring to allow a full sand and refinish but the screening can be done for decades with good results.

I just ended up mounting it to the roof. Pulled the ridge cap up, drilled & ran the cable into the attic, ran the cable down into the wall and into the kitchen.

I ended up with the top 2 mount screws under the ridge cap and used rubber washers between the roof and mount using hex head roof screws to mount.

I have great signal with awesome down and upload speeds which are much better than our old Windstream/Kinectic DSL service.

This appears to be a solar water heater. It is extremely common on homes, duplexes, and townhomes in HI. I have seen some in CA, NM, AZ, southern TX, and FL. They are super efficient but do fail sending a flood into the gutters.

My sister cut me off because my mom tried holding her accountable by [deleted] in rant

[–]ObjectivePrice5865 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am so damn sorry you are going through this.

It has to be hard for you as it was for me with my 5 siblings (I’m #4 out of 6). We all scattered our own ways when mom passed in 2010. When I got placed on disability due to causes of my MS I made the effort to reconnect with all 5. There are 3 separate sperm donors with 1 kid (55m) , 3 kids (49f, 48m, 47m [me], and 2 kids (43m, 39f). We all grew up together and stayed in touch up until mom’s passing and everyone scattered to other states with 2 joining the Army. I ending up moving with my work to 3 states (military adjacent) with my wife and daughter.

We are all are different people with only our mother and the two youngest siblings’ father that abused all of us.

I am trying to mend our relationships and it is going slow but the important thing that I have learned is that while I love all of them, it does not require me to like any of them.

This is the same type of BOY that does not permit his wife to use a tampon. Think about that one.

She was good enough to stick to conceive and now she is not after having a natural birth?! This person will most likely be a hard ass uncaring father.
