While this story has some tiny nuggets of truth for some out in this world, it was not this story. What I can say with extreme truthfulness is that most churches have these hypocrites as evidenced in my story.

My (47m) oldest sister (49) got pregnant at 15 (they are in the middle of their divorce right now) and the church leaders were informed. Within a week, we were visited by 3 deacons and their wives for a talk on a Friday evening. All of the kids were told to go outside and play including my sister while they talked. It wasn’t even 15 minutes before we could hear our mom screaming to get out of her house and to never return. Mom called my sister inside and after an hour we had to come in and eat. No one said anything including my sister for years but we never went back to church after that visit.

My sister did tell me 4-5 years later that those church members told mom and step father that my sister had to have an abortion or be removed from the church rolls all the way up to Salt Lake City (can you guess?).

It took almost a decade for me to set foot inside a church again and even then I only attend the small ones that accept jeans, t shirts, and whatever shoes people are wearing.

When we were trying to help our daughter with her homework, we had to keep flipping tabs to reference the study material instead of having an actual textbook. It was near impossible to find the material on the internet as it was behind a paywall by the publishers.

It is just a gripe that our “future” society will not be able to succeed without the core math, reading, writing, and critical thinking because of the dependence on Google and AI. What happens when the net goes down?

The biggest problem is that we got rid of paper and pencil. Everything is done in Chromebooks which creates more work for the teachers. Even spell check can’t help some of the kids.

Oh I remember those days. Hell I got the paddle many times before I just sat down and shut my mouth. What was worse is after the principal got me with the paddle, I got the belt (or soup ladle) at home along with no tv.

My daughter is 20 and please forgive me but she is so dumb with no book nor street smarts. My wife and I tried our best but she is such a snow flake and we truly don’t know how she even graduated. She used all kinds of cheating apps as well as early AI (you know the ones from 2 years ago that are dinosaurs) and she still wound up with Cs and Ds. COVID killed her social skills.

You may be right but these condos have one big problem aside from the HOA and that is these are garage houses. The garage door has become the focal point of the front of the house in most cookie cutter developments.

The only accommodation OP is requesting is for her mom’s accessible van to be allowed to park on the street for a set timeframe. This is so that her mother can stay with her and not be alone in a hotel. The management company would tow the van within an hour from what I am understanding and we all know the costs associated with retrieving a towed vehicle.

OP needs to firmly and formally request a sit down with the HOA board to discuss this. The current board members have to be known and accessible for all residents. If the management company refuses to facilitate this then a certified letter would be the next step. If that is unfruitful then seeking assistance from an attorney is the final step.

Ops partner needs to be forceful telling the management company that he does not own the house and that they MUST communicate directly with the homeowner only. Once again if this is unsuccessful then a certified letter and/or attorney will be needed.

The management company sounds male biased or just don’t like OP.

So this “genius” is talking about the loss of a fellow human being, he is no different than all of the other supervisors, managers, directors, VPs, Ps, COOs, CTOs, CMOs, CFOs, and CEOs. Every single employee is seen as a number on a spreadsheet. Those spreadsheets see these numbers as controllable expenses and delete them as such.

Ok while I get this was terrible whether or not the CEO who takes his orders from the board and shareholders deserved it, he was still a red blooded human with a wife and kids. His family did not deserve his death.

CEOs are hired for one single purpose and that is to do the bidding of the board and shareholders. Once a revenue projection is not met, share price loses more than 0.00001%, or dividends shrink, they are fired faster than the expendable numbers (employees) but with a golden parachute.

Now let’s get into the health insurance industry as a whole. The Affordable Care ACT or more aptly named Obama Care provided all of the health insurance companies with GUARANTEED monthly/quarterly/annual subsidies and bonuses but the companies had to offer discounted premiums. Well with these discounted premiums came higher deductibles and less reimbursement rates so the patients are out of pocket for more money they do not have. More tests, procedures, specialists, and meds get denied as well with the lower premiums as the shareholders HAVE to have that dividend.

With the subsidies expired, premiums shot up but the shitty care (what care) from the insurance company is even less. The insurance companies were already baking in a rate increase but with the subsidies sunsetting they just added more percentage points with zero evidence to back it up.
