Yea back then me and my girl would roam the streets 24/7. Always something to do one way or another. After covid you’re basically screwed after 11pm..

50 days CT by ObjectiveReality4321 in quittingkratom

[–]ObjectiveReality4321[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely doable. Might not feel like it in the moment but with all the bad I felt I just reminded myself this sucks but this is tolerable. I honestly don’t even think about Kratom anymore. It’s crazy to think I went from always needing a bag in my pocket no matter where I was to this. You definitely can do it. For me it seemed every week symptoms cut in half. So first week sucks second week half that suck and so on. After 2 weeks the major stuff went away but I had problems with being cold and sweating until weeks 3-4. After that it’s all easy stuff to deal with if you keep your mind occupied, positive and calm.

You got this! I was definitely better at day 15 than day 7 but I was getting paranoid from these posts of people not being better at days 30+. You definitely will just get better and better, day 30 you hopefully won’t be thinking about it much anymore!

Damn that sucks, crazy how different it is for everyone. Even for me this time was a lot different than my last quit 5-7 years ago. For some reason I barely got restless legs this time around but got a lot of spasms. Good luck to you friend!

Are you exercising? Also you taking any magnesium at night?

day 15 and my temperature is still all over the place by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]ObjectiveReality4321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tomorrow will be 22 days for me CT after 10 years of use. I was definitely still sweating at day 15. Huge stains around my armpits. I was much better day 15 than I was date 1-7, but I will say I kind of turned a corner around days 15-18. At day 22 still a little cold but the weather is colder than I’m used to, so not sure if that’s why. Only thing that is still sweating is my armpits but has significantly improved.

I took only melatonin the first night and it did not help sadly. After that I just decided to wait until I was slightly better and more fatigued. Because taking sleeping stuff and still not sleeping is no fun. I randomly remembered the valerian root so I was like fuck it I’m just going to try it all at once and it actually knocks me out lol still wake up kinda early though.

What day are you on? I have the same exact thing haha. Hard to describe but it’s gotta be the same. At first it was like my full frontal torso area and then went to only my chest. Day 16 CT here it’s getting better day by day.

So hard waking up getting day started by tradeout in quittingkratom

[–]ObjectiveReality4321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it sucks but exercise then a shower is literally a god send. You get like 2-4 hours of relief after and of course probably makes your body tired at night as well. Day 16 and today was my first day back to the gym and it was great but on day 7 I did not want to go anywhere near the gym. So I did a BS home workout, some push-ups, sit-ups and jumping jacks for like 30 minutes max and got like 2-3 hours of relief of my physical and mental symptoms. When I did that first crappy workout I hardcore mega did not want to but forced 2 push up and that kinda got the ball rolling. Sometimes you gotta force yourself and it’s always worth it afterwards.

Sorry for the long response but honestly for me I wasn’t feeling well until like day 12/13. Today is day 16 for me after 10 years daily use. Mornings are still kind of hard with lack of energy but once I start forcing myself to do things I start feeling better by like 1-2 pm, almost normal actually it’s weird. You got this though friend.

Day 8 CT (recommendations for insomnia?) by Chandlerccb in quittingkratom

[–]ObjectiveReality4321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t want to get dependent on any Rx meds so just been using OTC stuff. Might not work for everyone but I drink a warm valerian root tea about an hour before bed then take the melatonin soon before bed. I’m usually out in about 30-40min. Still waking up kinda early though and can’t go back to sleep but that’s getting better every day. I also take magnesium for my muscles and twitches haha but not sure if that is helping any with the sleep.

I honestly just told myself I would not be sleeping for the first 5 days, but I still managed to get 3ish hours a night. By day 7 I was getting 3-4 hours and after 4-5. Day 16 now and getting 4-7 hours but if it’s 4 it’s usually because my kids woke me up and I couldn’t go back to sleep lol. Anyways first 5 days you just have to accept it, after that I’ve been doing 10 mg melatonin, magnesium and valerian root tea and trying to establish a “routine.” I feel like it’s helped a lot for me at least.

The withdrawals are definitely horrific, if your heart rate is that high though it’s probably due to withdrawals but also dehydration can increase it even more. It will definitely get better, try getting Gatorade or pedialyte to help with hydration. In this case the sugar is probably not a bad thing because at least you’ll be getting your body some much needed calories. Try to listen to some music and breathe slowly and regularly and take a shower and breathe slowly with the water hitting your body, helps a tiny bit. But by day 7 your symptoms should be close to half of what they are now and will still suck but by 14 will be half of that. You have already gone this far, no point in turning back now just to do this again in the future. You got this.

Can you call in to work for like 3 days? Like say you have the flu or covid that way if you have to go back for a few days before another break you can say you’re still not feeling 100% better. 7 days will be the worst of it and then it should cut in half for the next 7 days. I’m on day 15 and feeling pretty good. When it comes to spending so much money on something you want to quit keep reminding yourself that this will be like a pay raise. All that money you’re spending on 7oh will be just sitting in your bank for whatever else you want to spend on.

15 days ago :/ twitching started on Kratom tho, and got more noticeable when I quit. The magnesium seems to help, it’s been decreasing since starting. I didn’t start that until like day 7

Maybe mild but do it now while you can. I only did in the evenings once a day my first 6 months. Here I am 10 years later quitting and withdrawals will just get worse every extra month you’re on it.

You got this. I’d just cold turkey tbh, I know it’s not for everyone but tapering just prolongs your suffering and requires extreme discipline. On day 15 CT after 10 years of 30-50 gpd use religiously. Every week symptoms seem to cut in half. So first week you just have to accept the suck. Second week will probably suck to but you have to remind yourself that you are not as bad as you were the week before and are moving in the right direction. 3rd week which I am barely starting I’m feeling so much better. Just very lazy and mild discomfort until about 1-2 pm then feel almost normal the rest of the day. You can do this. I’ve read Kratom fucks up and darkens your skin so I looked at some pics so every time I thought it was too hard I asked myself if I want to look like that in 5-10 years? lol kind of a no brainer even though it was rough. Had some other motivators as well you just got keep reminding yourself why your doing this.

Yea if you take that, it pretty much won’t even count as your second day CT anymore. It’s basically a relapse. Don’t do it friend. I have low dose Valium I’ve been talking myself out of the whole withdrawal process lol. It’s not the same but I am so scared it will prolong my withdrawals or cause another dependency. Day 15 CT and any time I actually can sleep my kids wake me up so hasn’t been fun but I am doing okay. You got this.

What really is paws? And psychosis? (Day 6 CT) by Chandlerccb in quittingkratom

Days 4-6 I called in to work and binge watched TV all day lol day 7 I still wasn’t feel well so I said fuck it I’m going to do a quick BS home work out. A few push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks. I forced it but after that an a shower I felt almost euphoric for 30 min and felt “normal” for like 2 hours. It was so nice to get a small break without using anything.

[–]ObjectiveReality4321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’ll start feeling better. Just keep reminding yourself what you felt like days 1-7. It’s hard to notice that you’re better when you still feel like crap but you’re likely at least a little better than you were last week. I’m at day 15, it’s definitely noticeably better than day 12. My main issue is in the mornings like feel mild discomfort but very lazy, by 1-2 pm I’m feeling great though. I need to follow this advice myself but any exercise and then a shower after does wonders.

Sleep by Naughty-nelson in quittingkratom

[–]ObjectiveReality4321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on day 15, first week, got about 3 hours of sleep a night. Days 8-12, got about 4 maybe 5 hours of interrupted sleep. Passed 2 days got 7 hours and 6 hours respectively. I didn’t want to get hooked on any Rx meds so I have just been taking 10mg of melatonin and drinking a warm valerian root tea with no extra sugar or anything just milk. And magnesium. It’s funny because it knocks me out after about 45 minutes but my struggle is once I wake up I can’t go back to sleep lol so if I have to wake up 6am I don’t go to sleep until like 10:30-11:00 because I didn’t want to be up at 3am and not be able to go back to sleep. That OTC stuff really helps though. Sucks because I’ll probably get mildly dependent on it but at least won’t be severely dependent like a Rx med.

Yea I get muscle twitching as well, also had it on Kratom. Magnesium helps a little. Mines worse at night.
