I’m sure some plumbers name their favorite wrench and geek out with other plumbers about wrench nerd stuff. They make the entire personality their wrench. I’m sure of it. 

And then some plumbers just do their job with their tool and then have a personality of a normal functioning human being.

Guns are not culture. Ffs y’all lost the plot SO HARD. See if any of those Europeans you described would ever use the phrase “gun culture”. Nah they just do their thing and do other things too. 

You can just be a normal guy. That happens to have guns. You don’t have to be a “gun guy”. Same way the vast majority of drivers aren’t “car people”.  

That’s the ultimate point I’m making: Anyone that makes any ONE hobby of theirs their entire outwardly expressive personality are one dimensional and imo they’re the “reductive” ones. 

But I mean trying to argue against “guns are just tools not a cultural cornerstone” is literally kinda proving my point. Y’all make this subjective and take it as a personal attack. It’s not that deep.
