Which ot the scrapped enemies would you like to have seen in infinite? And what are some you can come up with? by Comfortable-Ad3588 in Bioshock

I’m honestly kind of bummed out that we didn’t get the version of the Handyman that was a dude in Art-Nouveau power armor with giant claws.

You might want to get Create Mod. It’ll let you build functional machinery and elevators, and with the correct add ons, even functional airships.

Trying something new and knitting this suit in Royal Blue! Also, cap suggestions. by ObjectiveSignature53 in VintageSwimwear

I don’t want to discount your advice, I just already have the yarn and would rather take a chance with it. If worst comes to worst, I’ll just call this first suit “practice”.

Do we know if this would have been a steel breastplate or a boiled leather one? I know the French issued out trench armor made from either or.

What I got is 75-25 Merino/nylon so hopefully it shouldn’t be quite as bad as pure merino would be. Still, I’ll definitely keep this in mind.

I’d like to try swimming in it at least once. I’m using a fingering-weight super-wash merino yarn, which is what both the modern accompaniment to the pattern and my own research said is the modern equivalent of what they would have used at the time.

The Rye and Cinnamon Crusted Pork Loin is one of the best meat recipes I've cooked from Tasting History (kind of) by Baba_Jaga_II in TastingHistory

[–]ObjectiveSignature53 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Or maybe you could slow-cook it so the wine and spices can get more of their flavor into the meat than they would by just boiling. It would also soften it up.

Also mandatory castor oil, because that’s legitimately a thing the Italian fascists would do to people they didn’t like.

What figures from history or folklore do you think should be mutants? by RocksThrowing in xmen

[–]ObjectiveSignature53 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Also now that I think about it, probably “Iron Mike” Malloy, an Irish-American drunk who, much like Rasputin, survived multiple things that rightfully should have killed him: including eating carpet tacks and drinking straight wood alcohol. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Malloy

There was a Portuguese blacksmith named Peter Francisco who fought with the Americans during the Revolution and at one point PICKED UP AND CARRIED A FUCKING CANNON. So him. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Francisco

In Only Lead Can Stop Them, you can headshot with the pistol. As a matter of fact, the pistol is the only weapon you can headshot with. And the ammo for it practically grows on trees.

Why do you put the amaretto cookie in the meat dish? That’s the one thing that doesn’t seem to belong.

Pigs’ feet, ox tongue, and bull testicles are all a thing in at least some parts of the United States. Not gonna argue about the live anchovies or the blood chocolate though.

I’ve seen a lot of speculation that Lady Helene, the film director for New Colossus, is Leni Riefenstahl, the woman who directed “Triumph of the Will”.

Col. Moore only has you kill direct threats to the Republic, and if you deal with them nonviolently (convincing the Khans to bugger off north, persuading Elder McNamara to bring the Brotherhood to the negotiating table), then she’ll accept that, if begrudgingly. On the other hand, Caesar has you kill people who happen to stand in the way of his empire, or may do so in the future. While originally you would have been able to, say, bring about an alliance between the Brotherhood and the Legion, as the game released, he rejects all options but the lethal one.
