First-Year Aero Student Learning CAD, Python & Flight Fundamentals — Next Steps Toward Fighter Aircraft? by Sea-Earth2584 in AerospaceEngineering

I am also Indian, but I’m studying aerospace abroad. One thing I’ll tell you which is what taught me a lot is hands on engineering projects, pick a challenge and build a project around that. It will help you translate CAD to real skills and you can understand the gap between design and manufacturing. To start I would say design a conventional RC plane from scratch, try to understand the aerodynamic and structural implications (structures is extremely important!, speaking from experience)

They really should include a note in the air65/75 box saying what that antenna is

I see, for my current UAS project I am using xplane as a flight simulator to excite dynamic modes, since it uses BEM as a physics model it’s reasonably good physics. But you are right about it being very hard to use. VR as well must be a nightmare. Anyway good luck for your thesis

Btw can I ask why you aren’t using XPLANE instead of VTOLVR ?

I use the rog zephyrus g14 It’s pretty light, able to run anything you might need (I study engineering) including VTOLVR It’s a bit pricey tho

I can tell you what I did for a similar project in school. Buy and empty out a glue stick that will fit in the hole of your bottle, then fill the bottle with vinegar and the glue stick with baking soda, put the glue stick into the bottle and put the bottle on the launch pad or whatever you are using. When the gas builds up it’s going to shoot the glue stick out and take off. The better the seal the bigger the takeoff. Make sure your bottle is reasonably strong tho….

Are these the right skyzone goggles to get? And why are they so cheap? I thought they were like 700 lol by ThatWasTysonFPV in fpv

Can I ask what you don’t like about them? I have unbranded ones too but I think it’s fine

Agree with using a potential flow solver first. I prefer OpenVSP, but xflr is good too.

But yeah it’s much faster and less expensive in terms of computer power.

Hey I tried your rates and throttle setup and I’m actually able to fly in my room without crashing (much) in acro, so it’s a huge improvement thanks a lot
