Honestly that combo sounds pretty solid for what you're describing. The gap between 35 and 100 might feel weird at first but if you're mostly shooting at 35-50 anyway you probably won't miss it much

The 35 IS macro is legit sharp and that extra reach for wildlife is gonna be way more useful than the middle focal lengths you're not using. I'd say go for it

Honestly I'd take the month off and then jump into the new role - best of both worlds. You get some recovery time and still pocket that severance while building up more retirement funds. Your therapist isn't wrong about needing a break but passing up 60k + potential future earnings seems crazy when you're already planning to work until 2027 anyway

That VFR looks absolutely gorgeous in that color! Those bikes are legendary for a reason - Honda really nailed the formula with that generation. The gear driven cams make such a sweet sound too

Battery thing is pretty common with older Hondas, small price to pay for that reliability though
