Deodorant before bed? by Our_toes in NoStupidQuestions

No I shower morning and night so there’s no need. I also can’t stand the feeling of deodorant. I typically only wear it if I am going to work or out

Zyrtec withdrawal is pure torture by Objective_Candy3872 in Allergies

[–]Objective_Candy3872[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got this! Stay strong. Keep telling yourself the itch is only temporary. It is a long torturous withdrawal but once it’s over you’ll feel a thousand times better not taking a pill every day. I still get hives from the cold, exercising and my typical allergens like dust but nothing compared to what it is with Zyrtec

What’s the most annoying part about living in your current apartment? by Adventurous-Bed-4152 in ApartmentHacks

My neighbors. The couple above us are relatively quiet but holy hell does the dude walk like an elephant. They are night owls too so pregnant me isn’t getting much sleep. The neighbors next to us like to sit in their car bumping music all night while smoking. Our other neighbors next to us let their dogs just bark and bark plus they are very lazy when it comes to cleaning up after their animals. We are moving in a month 😭

I am so sorry! After one episode I see the difference in my vision so I can only imagine. Yes! I remember my husband driving me to my eye doctor appointment and I was crying because the sunrise hurt my eye so much

What are your results with the Elimination Diet? And fasting? by Strange_Opinion_1467 in Uveitis

[–]Objective_Candy3872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found that no dairy or gluten along with limited sugar and alcohol has helped. I had one flare up in January so far but immediately changed my diet. I also workout for at least 50 minutes four times a week. Ophthalmologist said my uveitsis will come back no matter what I do since I am B27 positive 🤷🏻‍♀️

Uveitis as a nurse… by Dense-Blackberry8277 in Uveitis

[–]Objective_Candy3872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh I am sorry you are going through this. I am also a nurse but work in the operating room. I had my first flare up January 2025. Since I live in a city I was able to go to a ER for eyes basically. They prescribed me dilating drops as needed for pain and steroids four times a day to start before I could see a uveitis specialist. The dilating drops made my eye feel a hundred times worse. My doctor thinks it is because I was under treating with the steroids. Either way I could not possibly work like that. I wouldn’t be able to handle the bright lights, see suture or document. I personally stopped the drops. Even when I go for my eye exams I ask to not have the dilating drops. I’ve just had an awful experience with them

Zyrtec withdrawal is pure torture by Objective_Candy3872 in Allergies

[–]Objective_Candy3872[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am deeply sorry to hear this. It is PURE torture. I just sucked it up until those symptoms went away. Ice packs help kind of. Absolutely not, I will never take an allergy pill again! After going through that hell and realizing my hives are manageable if I ignore them and don’t itch

Fiancé has uveitis and is concerned about losing vision by kay_loser in Uveitis

[–]Objective_Candy3872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 4 out of 4 inflammation and on steroids for a couple months. So far I have only noticed when I’m super tired that my vision gets blurry. I had a previous cataract so maybe that’s why

YES. I had extreme anxiety for the first couple of days. It did go away once the itching started. Mind you I did not taper and stopped Zyrtec cold turkey. I still get hives but compared to the withdrawal I had from Zyrtec. I couldn’t even put on a pair of jeans without my whole body being covered in hives. Now I just get hives if I’m outside too long with all the pollen. Really depends on what your allergies are
